In this meditation, we take a reverse approach by first settling into what's heavy on our hearts. We send unconditional love to the emotion as we heal through it with softness. We then use visualization meditation to imagine our dream life play out in front of us. We slow it down to focus on the mundane pleasures in life that we generally don't pay attention to or enjoy. In slow motion, how does it feel? How does it taste? How does it sound? By the end of the meditation we have felt everything, and we realize, this polarity of pain and pleasure is where we find the most beauty. Set to the tune of "Nostalgic Nights" composed by Music Of Wisdom.

Romanticizing your life meditation,

Softening into your greatness,

And having communion with yourself.

In the blink of an eye,

Our lives can change.

They become sad,

Boring,

Or even unbearable.

But it's our choice to either let it consume us,

Or let it stimulate us.

A moment can shift everything.

So today,

We soften.

We stop thinking,

And we start feeling.

It's so much easier than our minds want us to believe.

We simply let go.

We feel the heavy emotion that is knotted up inside,

Tucked away discreetly in small crevices within,

To uncover the fruit,

The sweetness that remains.

Sit powerfully with yourself now,

Inhaling and exhaling slowly and methodically.

Begin to imagine anything that is bothering you.

Let yourself feel the emotion behind it.

Settle into the anger,

The sadness,

The apathy,

Or even the delight.

It's okay to feel those things.

In fact,

It's imperative to feel the difficult things in order to feel the good ones.

Now move through this block,

Spreading a bright light like liquid gold throughout you.

And now imagine someone you love more than anything.

Spread this unconditional love throughout your body,

Letting it seep into any discomfort.

Just sit with it now.

Anytime restriction happens,

Continue to spread more love.

Once you feel ready to move into a place of sheer delight and pleasure,

Begin to think about a beautiful scene in front of you.

Imagine your most desirable life playing out like a movie in front of your face.

How is this movie different from your reality?

What can you achieve today to get one step closer to this dream?

Continue playing out the movie in slow motion and beam in the unconditional love now.

Slow down the movie and fixate on this dream.

Concentrate on the mundane tasks in between the desirable ones.

Imagine yourself sipping sweet lemonade or your favorite drink.

Not just to satiate your thirst,

But as an act of pleasure.

Feel the coolness.

Feel the chill of the ice cubes.

Taste the sour and sweet duality.

Hear the sound of the drink running down your throat.

You can apply the same to doing the dishes,

Holding laundry,

Or even driving in your car with the windows down.

Do you notice the difference?

You have done it,

My love.

Experienced a range of emotions and feelings,

But somehow left feeling radiant,

Energetic,

And beautiful.

Our lives will always have contrast,

The darkness and the light,

But we learn to handle the darkness by remembering what the light feels like.

Come back to this meditation when you need to remember how romantic your life can be.
