This meditation is for those who can empathize with avoiding conflict to keep the peace, and who have sensed an unease that can’t be named. That unease could be stuck emotion buried deep in the body. It’s gently asking for you to acknowledge it. To come out of hiding. So today we lead with the heart and beam out a ray of light to give us courage to do the hard thing. We end with "I am" affirmations to reinforce this inner strength with confidence and love.

This meditation is for those who have fallen victim to their own inner dialogue,

Who feel shame to speak up,

Who can empathize with avoiding conflict to keep the peace,

And who have sensed an unease that can't be named.

That unease could be stuck emotion buried deep in the body.

It's gently asking for you to acknowledge it,

To come out of hiding.

Breathe in deeply through the nose,

And breathe out through the nose.

Breathe in through the nose,

And breathe out through the nose.

How often do we keep it together from the outside,

While quietly unraveling at the edges on the inside?

We can sit in peace while secretly fighting a war with ourselves internally.

It's as if we were taught to minimize,

To be small,

But in doing so,

It made our emotions cry out even louder.

We think it's safer to hide and bury it all away than speak till our voice shakes or cover our faces in tears.

But really,

We're unintentionally deepening the wound.

And many times,

We don't even see a need to release ourselves from it.

This cycle has become our day to day.

Living without feeling,

Avoiding conflict to not stir the pot,

Dimming our light,

Hiding our truth.

We can relax into this knowing.

Our thoughts don't define us.

Inner peace can come at any point.

It's never too late.

Our bodies need us.

They ache for attention and love.

Beam out a bright,

Healing light now.

Imagine this light shining its gold,

Radiant hue in all directions.

Feel the sensation in your body like unconditional love as it moves like a warm fire through your soul.

Bring both hands to the heart.

Feel into your center,

Your heart space,

With honesty and bravery.

You can imagine yourself adorned in armor with a shield of protection.

This gives you a sense of power and authority.

Settle into your power now.

What is your heart speaking to you in this moment that you need to face?

Actively feel the unease associated with it and sit with this feeling for a few moments.

Now beam this ray of light into any place of tension.

Feel the warmth now.

Remove the hands and let your chest lead proudly.

Roll the shoulders back and let the heart lead.

Straighten your spine.

Feel the confidence in how you hold yourself now.

Repeat to yourself slowly.

I am whole.

I am brave.

I am assertive.

I am strong.

I am free.
