Today's meditation is about turning attachment into love.
As you prepare to open your heart today,
Take a deep breath in and on the exhale,
Gently let the eyes close.
Take a moment to tune in to each body part.
Relax the toes,
The feet,
The arches of the feet,
The ankles,
The shins,
The calf muscles,
The knees,
The thighs,
The pelvic area,
The stomach,
The chest,
The shoulders.
Relax the arms,
The wrists,
The hands,
And the fingers.
And finally,
Relax the head,
Relax the lips,
The nose,
And the eyes.
And bring your awareness to the third eye center in between the two eyes.
And consciously relax that area.
We are often bound by our own desires.
Attachment can sit like a thorn in your heart,
Poking you at the thought of loss,
Disconnect,
Or space.
Love often accompanies unhealthy attachment to people or possessions.
When we cling too close,
We can hinder the potential for a loving,
Free-flowing relationship.
This can come up in our bodies as an anxious,
Pulling sensation.
Desire is the excitement of life,
But we must channel it into a kind of wistful yearning that isn't demanding or chaotic,
Obsessive or entitled.
True feelings of love feel like expansion in the chest,
Electricity,
Excitement,
But at the same time,
Calm,
Consistent,
And unchanging.
Like feeling truly alive.
Take a deep breath in now and envision this love that has no bounds.
Take a deep breath out.
Place both hands over your heart as you continue to envision this sense of expansion at the center of your chest.
Let it wash over you.
The heart is where these feelings for others live.
Allow this energy within to spread throughout your entire being,
Expanding beyond your body into your energetic field.
This gives you a sense of magnetism,
A pull that others want to be a part of.
They'll want to be in your space as a result of this boundless light energy.
Imagine this mesmerizing energy that others could feel when they're in your presence.
Meditate on that sensation for a few moments.
There's a large part of our spirit that desires connection with others for a good reason.
Deep down,
The qualities we admire about others are qualities we know and like about ourselves.
With that in mind,
Let's love ourselves first.
Love ourselves first.
Now interlock your fingers together as if you're holding your own hand.
Gently feel into the touch.
Take note of the quality of your own hands,
Your skin.
What do you notice?
Is your skin warm or cool to the touch?
Are your hands calm or gently quivering?
Listen to your heartbeat as you gently tap into the feeling of your fingers.
As you breathe in and out,
Slowly repeat to yourself,
Love myself first.
Love myself first.
Now rub the palms of your hands together for a few moments,
Releasing any stale or anxious energy.
With your hands in a closed prayer position and your fingertips gently touching your lips,
Tap into how you're feeling now.
Give your body room to breathe.
You are not in your body,
But your body is within you.
The true essence of your soul is limitless.
Your energy field extends beyond the confines of your physical body,
Which is why we feel others' energies in a room and why we connect intimately with certain people who have an energetic vibration that we like.
Knowing this should bring you a sense of calm.
Bringing attention back to your heart,
Aligning your mind,
Body,
And spirit with this concept of unconditional love.
Warm yourself up to this feeling of love with boundaries that still somehow feels limitless.
Take a few grounding breaths,
Letting your awareness float back to the room you're in as we soon come to a close.
Repeat the following affirmations quietly to yourself.
I release anxious attachment.
I deserve long,
Fulfilling relationships.
I am surrounded by love.
My heart is open.
I attract love easily.
Once more through.
I release anxious attachment.
I deserve long,
Fulfilling relationships.
I am surrounded by love.
My heart is open.
I attract love easily.
Remember these calming affirmations as you continue with your day and come back to them when your heart is overwhelmed or anxious.
Take this feeling of peace out with you into the world and always come back to what feels safe and at home for you.
Go in peace,
My friends.
