Welcome to this evening's incense ritual to support you in unwinding,
Relaxing at the end of your day.
Take an hour or so before bed to light some fragrant incense and settle your mind,
Body and heart before heading off to have a deep sleep.
So I invite you now to do so,
Mindfully light your incense and allow the smoke and fragrance to unfurl.
Allow yourself to sigh,
To take a deep exhale as it's finally time for you to rest and recuperate from your day.
There is nothing you must be or do now,
You can simply rest and enjoy the evening.
If you haven't found a comfortable place to relax in,
I invite you to do so now.
This may be sitting on your couch or even lying on your bed.
Whatever your place is where you feel safe,
Cosy and at peace.
Allow your breath to be slow and deep,
Letting all worries or thoughts from the past flows away.
Feel your whole body sink deeper into the seat or bed beneath you.
Feeling all your muscles in your body soften and relax.
Feeling all tension in mind,
Body and heart dissolve.
And just be.
Be in this moment,
In this stillness.
Feel more connected to who you are.
Come back to your centre,
To your essence.
It is safe to relax into who you are.
Let this gentle evening ritual feel like a homecoming,
To yourself,
To your energy,
To peace and presence.
So remain here in stillness for as long as you like.
