If your day has felt heavy.
Your body feels tense and tired.
And your mind is racing and full of negative or fearful thoughts that are just causing further stress,
Then this meditation is for you.
This evening is time for you to soften and relax.
So get into a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
And close your eyes.
Allow yourself to take five deep breaths here with me.
Letting out a sigh on the exhale.
Ugh.
This is time to come back to you.
To your peace.
To stillness.
To presence.
So now set the intention to let the day go.
To let anything that is causing you stress to be released now.
You can let it go and pick it up again tomorrow if you so choose.
But right now,
And for the remainder of your evening,
This is time for you to relax and restore.
To nourish yourself.
To find coherence in mind,
Body and spirit.
So continue to breathe deeply and slowly at a pace that feels most natural to you.
And allow your body to soften on each exhale.
Allowing any tension or constriction to be released effortlessly.
And welcoming in more softness and spaciousness.
Within all levels and layers of your being.
On your inhale you may visualise a pure white light coming into your body,
Filling you up with the energy of peace and relaxation.
Feel this within you now.
And on the exhale,
You may visualize a muddy gray light leaving your body.
Releasing any heaviness,
Any burdens that are weighing on you.
Letting them alchemize into a higher state.
Welcoming in peace and relaxation.
Releasing all which does not need to be here.
Continuing this cycle of breath.
And focusing your full awareness here.
Feeling your whole being become free.
Light and expansive.
As you return to your most natural state of being.
Returning to your alignment,
To the coherence and well-being that was always yours to claim.
You are so deserving of this time for you.
And allowing yourself to spend your evening taking care of your well-being.
So that you can have a deep restorative sleep tonight.
Truly reflects the self-love you have for yourself.
Even if you are not fully conscious of it.
And allow yourself to enjoy the last few moments of this breath.
Filling yourself up with relaxation.
And exhaling out any heaviness,
Anything you no longer wish to carry.
When you feel as though you have come to completion with this meditation.
And feel relieved and relaxed.
Then we can bring this practice to a close.
By giving your fingers and toes a little wiggle.
Feeling into your body.
Feeling into this new state of being.
And then you can slowly open your eyes.
I hope you feel nourished and more connected to yourself tonight as you head to bed soon.
Good night and sweet dreams.
