This meditation is designed to help you to bring kindness to yourself if there's something that you're struggling with or beating yourself up for.
So finding a comfortable position,
Feeling alert and relaxed.
And when you're ready,
If it feels comfortable,
Gently closing your eyes.
Just taking a few breaths.
With each breath,
Allowing yourself to settle into stillness.
Just settling.
And bringing to mind whatever it is that you've been struggling with.
Maybe something at work or something in one of your relationships.
And becoming aware of how you've reacted to this situation.
How you've been treating yourself.
Maybe there's some struggle or shame,
Some anger,
Some sadness.
Just noticing what this experience has been like for you.
And noticing how you naturally react.
And just locating in your body where you feel this struggle most strongly.
Perhaps there's some heaviness in your heart,
A knot of anxiety in your stomach,
And tension in your shoulders or neck.
Just breathing into this space.
Bringing some kind awareness.
Letting go of the struggle.
And perhaps placing your hand over this spot.
Just feeling the warmth of your hand.
Being reassured by your own presence.
And just noticing what this part of you needs most.
Maybe some kindness,
Some reassurance,
Some love.
And just seeing if you can give some of this back to yourself.
By simply whispering whatever it is you need to hear most.
I'm here.
I love you.
It's going to be okay.
And just enjoying a few more breaths of this inner connection.
Of coming home to yourself.
And caring for yourself deeply.
And when you're ready,
In your own good time,
Taking this kindness with you throughout your day.
Namaste.
