To begin,
Gently close your eyes and take a few deep breaths in.
To help you settle into the moment,
I'm going to ring a bell.
Just listen until the sound of the bell turns into silence,
Allowing this to help you grind yourself to the present moment.
Now bring your attention to your breath going in and out of your body.
Taking a few deep breaths in,
Following your breath as it enters your body,
And following as it leaves your body.
As you continue to breathe,
Gently shift your attention to your feet on the floor.
Becoming aware of the sensations in your feet,
The weight of your feet,
Any vibrations,
Noticing the temperature of your feet,
Being curious to explore any sensations that are present in your feet.
Now moving up your legs,
Noticing any sensations in your legs,
If they're resting against anything,
Feeling where your legs make contact,
Feeling the heaviness of your legs,
Feeling the weight of your feet,
Feeling the weight of your feet,
Feeling the weight of your feet,
Being aware of any points of tension here,
And consciously breathing to soften these areas,
Allowing your breath to move in and around the areas of tension,
And moving your body around the areas of tension,
Allowing your breath to move in and around the areas of tension.
Now noticing your hands,
Feeling their heaviness,
Becoming aware of any vibrations or sensations that are present here,
Noticing if there's any tingling or any other sensations.
If you can't feel any sensations,
That's okay too,
Just noticing what's there.
Now drawing your attention up your arms,
Letting your shoulders relax and soften.
Noticing your neck,
Throat and jaw,
Relaxing these areas,
Breathing into them and letting them soften,
Softening your face,
Letting your forehead relax.
Now become aware of your whole body,
Resting in this present moment,
Taking another deep breath in and following your breath as you breathe all the way out,
Being present with your body as you sit here being still,
Feeling relaxed.
Taking another breath now,
And when the bell turns to silence again,
Gently bring your attention back to the room,
Taking your time,
And once you're ready,
Opening your eyes.
