In nature,
There's something cleansing about a rain shower,
Washing away the dust in the air and bringing renewal and a sense of energy and cleansing.
In our internal world,
We often crave a sense of cleansing and renewal,
With so many thoughts and feelings flying around and the push and pull of other people's energy.
It can feel exhausting.
In this meditation,
You're invited to imagine that you're in a rain shower,
Allowing anything that doesn't serve you right now to fall away.
So finding a comfortable place to sit or lie down,
Taking a few deep,
Slow breaths.
And when you're ready,
Gently closing your eyes and hearing the rain arrive,
Imagining the smell of the earth as the rain comes in,
Imagining the raindrops touching your skin,
Cleansing you,
Allowing whatever struggles or difficulties to fall away,
To simply roll away with the raindrops.
And just being with your breath,
In and out,
And breathing in the new air as you let old thoughts and feelings wash away.
Just allowing it to fall away with the rain.
A time of reconnecting with yourself.
Letting the plume of thoughts and emotional energy to fall away.
Just feeling grounded,
Feeling renewed.
And taking a few moments to enjoy this.
When you're ready,
Gently coming back and opening your eyes.
