Learn to meditate like a monk in 14 days through this 14-day meditation challenge. Over these 14 Days, I guide you through 14 different meditations teaching you the basics of meditation. On Day 8, we will practice loving kindness meditation. This practice helps us cultivate compassion for ourselves and all sentient beings. In one of the many studies, 139 participants were randomly assigned to either a 7-week Loving-kindness intervention or a waitlist control group. Those who practiced this meditation reported increased positive emotions (e.g., love, joy, gratitude). This directly led to improvements in personal resources such as social support, life purpose, and physical health. This is one of the most important practices in a monk's meditation routine.
