Namaste,

It's good to be alive.

Find your most comfortable position,

Maybe on a chair,

On the ground or just lying down on your bed.

Close your eyes and bring your focus on your breath.

Close your mouth and breathe through your nose.

Notice your breath as it moves in and out of your body through your nostrils.

Notice the expansion and the contraction of your throat,

Chest and stomach.

You might find that at some point your awareness is wandering and that's very human.

Without judgement,

Politely bring your awareness back to your breath.

There are so many definitions of meditation but in simple words,

It is just a process of retraining your attention.

I think of meditation as a way to find your voice and to know the self where the whole idea of your life exists.

Now notice your thoughts which are arising in your head.

Imagine your head as a room which has a door.

If there are thoughts,

Open the door to release all the thoughts,

Also the people which are in the room.

Imagine them leaving the room and when the room is empty,

Close the door.

Now notice any body part touching the ground.

Notice your clothes touching against your beautiful skin.

Feel your whole body is breathing in and out which is causing the tingling sensations in your body.

Imagine your body is sinking into the ground and making a strong connection with the earth.

This is a great way to feel yourself grounded and in your body.

Now I would invite you to inhale on a count of 4,

Hold your breath on a count of 4 and exhale on a count of 4.

Don't push too hard,

If you can't hold that long,

That's totally fine.

Slowly and gradually you will build the momentum.

Let's breathe some fresh air.

Inhale 2,

3,

4,

Hold 2,

3,

4 and exhale 2,

3,

4.

This time inhale from your nose and exhale through your mouth.

Inhale 2,

3,

4,

Hold 2,

3,

4,

Exhale 2,

3,

4.

Feel your whole body and mind getting relaxed.

Keep your eyes closed,

Notice the environment around you.

Notice any sound or just the void.

Take as much time as you need and when you are ready,

Gently open your eyes.

Try to maintain this feeling throughout your day.

And always remember,

You are a beautiful soul.

Namaste.

Loved the idea of letting all the people out of the room in my mind, as a lot of my anxious thoughts relate to other people & what they think of me. It felt very powerful to allow myself to let those people out and stand there alone. Will be using that again!! Thank you πŸ™πŸΌ
