Good morning.
This is Larissa Hall Carlson with a gratitude meditation to help you enhance optimism and support a positive mindset for the day head.
Take a steady,
Comfortable seat with a nice long spine.
Rest the hands on the lap.
Align the head right over the center of the shoulders and tuck the chin slightly.
Open or close the eyes.
Inhale deeply and release a long,
Refreshing sigh.
As much as you can,
Soften the muscles in the face and jaw.
Relax the shoulders.
Soften and relax the belly.
Take a few moments to review your plans and your hopes for the day ahead.
As you review your plans,
If there's anything worrisome on today's schedule,
Take a moment to imagine the best possible outcome.
Visualize a positive unfolding of events and interactions.
Invite the day to overflow with ease and inspiration.
Take a moment to visualize.
Breathe it in.
May it be so.
Now review again today's plans.
What are you most looking forward to?
Is there a time of day you most appreciate?
Do you expect to see someone funny or uplifting today?
Perhaps you'll be getting out into nature or eating something healthful.

To appreciate all the goodness and possibility that this new day presents,
Take a few quiet minutes to identify three things for which you are grateful.
Breathe it in.
Soak up all that goodness.
Now mindfully set your intention for the day ahead.
Let it be inspiring,
Wholesome,
And peace promoting.
Perhaps something like,
Today I will remember to breathe and relax.
Or today I will smile at everyone I meet.
Or today I will write a kind note to a loved one.
Take a few moments to set your own positive intention for the day.
Gradually deepen the breath and let the eyes flutter open,
Taking in the morning color and light,
Wishing you all the best for a mindful,
