Hey guys,
Welcome back to another class with me.
My name is Gabriela and for today we're going to do a little bit of breath work.
So it's Nadi Shodhana,
Which is alternate nostril breathing.
Let's just go ahead and take one big cleansing deep breath.
And let it out.
So for this practice,
It can be done a few different ways,
But I like to bring my peace fingers to my third eye.
I'll have my thumb out as well as my ring finger,
And then my pinky just kind of dangles for me.
So I close my right nostril and I breathe in through my left.
So I inhale in.
Close the left nostril with the ring finger.
Exhale out of my right nostril.
Inhale,
Back up my right nostril.
Close the right.
Exhale,
Release out of the left.
Inhale left.
Exhale right.
Inhale right.
Exhale left.
Inhale left Exhale right and just continue at your own pace.
Really taking full breaths here.
So focusing on that little bit pause at the top.
That transitional period between the inhale and the exhale.
Continuing to take full breaths here continuing at your own pace helps balance our body,
Our mind,
Our heart.
It helps relieve stress.
It really brings our attention inward when we're really focusing on the breath.
You Taking a few more breaths.
And whenever you're ready,
You can release your right hand back down.
Gently closing the eye.
Just connecting back to the natural flow of the breath taking a moment to observe and to reflect.
Going on?
What are we feeling?
What may be different now than it was before?
And not forcing an answer,
Not coming up with it in your mind.
Letting your body your breath answer that question.
Feel.
Keep finding the inhales and the exhale And whenever you're ready,
You can slowly begin to rock your neck side to side,
Maybe dropping it down.
To your chest,
Maybe back,
If you look up at the sky.
Slowly opening your eyes if you feel ready to do so.
And taking one big deep breath with me.
Ah.
Although all of these breath works have such amazing benefits for our body,
Our mind,
Our heart,
Everything like that.
Think one of the biggest keys for me is that it helps me draw my attention back inward.
Course something like that helps balance us out,
Helps find that equality within.
But for me,
It's taking the time to focus on my breath,
To focus on something that works with me and for me all day,
Every day,
That I don't always give the attention to.
So thank you for coming back to the basics,
The simple things and finding your breath with me today.
Namaste.
