Welcome to this body scan meditation take a moment here to get comfortable whether you're seated or lying down repositioning yourself allowing yourself to really come into this space take a breath with me as we inhale in hold it at the top and exhale out let it go and one more time inhale all the way in gentle pause and exhale out let it go begin to feel your toes each one of them noticing how they connect to your feet breathing into the soles of your feet noticing what energy comes off of them curiously begin to explore your ankles and your lower legs if there's any discomfort just notice it acknowledge it you don't need to let it consume you sending your breath into your knees noticing how one may feel different than the next slowly moving up to your quads and your hamstrings noticing how they connect yet have their own independence if you find yourself holding any tension there breathe deep and let it go so making your way to your hips and your hip flexors maybe giving some of the feelings a shape or a color really being with the feelings and emotions that arise as you flow through your body begin to relax your lower belly and your pelvic floor letting your root chakra and sacral chakra be safe and relaxed travel around to your lower back letting go of tightness and tension you know that as much as you let go you are safe you don't need to hold on you don't need to keep tension in your body moving into your belly maybe your breath is living there just let it be wrapping around to your back now really finding your breath in your chest here noticing the sensations around your heart center inviting in softness choose to let go choose to be soft you are safe letting any stress roll off of your shoulders explore the back of your neck and your throat moving up to the face and to release your jaw unclenching and releasing allowing your cheekbones to rest and soften through your eyelids and your eyebrows breathing with your forehead and your temples moving through the ears now up towards the crown of your head your body is fully relaxed you are safe and you are free feeling your entire body all the small working parts that join together to create you as a whole sending gratitude to each place in your body sending love and care you can continue to rest in meditation if you'd like thank you for joining me and most importantly thank you for choosing yourself you
