Transcript

During this meditation,

I invite you to take a walk as you listen.

Give you a few moments here to find a place to walk.

Preferably you move outdoors on a path that is safe and peaceful,

Away from any distractions.

And as you begin,

Walk at a comfortable pace,

Letting your body move naturally.

Let's start by taking a few deep breaths,

Bringing your attention to the present moment.

Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

Feel the air entering your lungs and notice the sensation of your feet hitting the ground at a comfortable pace.

Become aware of the sounds that are around you.

The rustling of the leaves,

The birds singing,

Or any of their sounds in the environment.

Shifting your focus now to the physical sensations in your body.

Feel the muscles in your legs as they move.

Feel the rhythm of your breathing and the way your arms swing with each step.

Just noticing.

And as your thoughts come to mind,

Simply acknowledge them without judgment,

Bringing your focus back to the present moment.

The feeling of walking,

The sounds around you,

Your pace,

Your breath.

You can imagine that your thoughts are like cars that are driving by.

They just pass you,

Doesn't change anything.

There's nothing to do.

You just hear the car coming up from behind you and then passing you.

And the sound starts to fade.

The car dissipates in the air.

Allow your thoughts to be this car.

You're just watching it drive by as it comes along.

And using the sensation of your feet hitting the ground to anchor your attention.

And as you walk,

Consider your steps as a metaphor for the progress you're making in life.

Each step representing a moment of growth,

A moment of change,

And moving forward on your journey.

And take a minute to express the gratitude you have for the opportunity to connect with nature and yourself.

And appreciate the simple joy of just walking and being in the present moment.

And spending time with yourself and the connection to the earth.

If it's safe to do so,

I invite you to come to a standstill.

With your arms down by your side.

Noticing the stillness of this pause.

And take a deep breath,

Inhaling through your nose.

And exhaling through your mouth.

You might consider turning around to finish your walk.

And I invite you to span your attention outwards.

And as this recording comes to an end,

Start to really tune in to what's going on around you.

Look up into the trees,

Into the sky,

Look out to the birds,

The squirrels,

And enjoy this world.

I loved this meditation. Especially the analogy to the cars and each step being the ones you have taken towards your journey. Thank you.
