Hello,
I'm Rhys Jones,
And welcome to this Lucid Dream Incubation Recording.
What follows is a lucid dreaming story,
Influenced by one of my own lucid dreams.
It can either be listened to for fun,
Or with the intent to sow seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.
If you're listening just for fun,
Then you are,
Of course,
Free to put this on at any time during the day or night.
However,
If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,
Then we recommend listening to it either just before getting into bed,
Or whilst falling to sleep.
So I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.
If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,
Then use this time now to prepare for that.
Turn off your lights,
Draw your curtains,
Get into bed,
And do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.
And when my voice returns in a moment,
The lucid dream incubation will begin.
Your awareness lights up,
And you find yourself standing in the midst of a serene meadow,
Bathed in the soft glow of a setting sun.
The grass beneath your feet is a lush green,
And a gentle breeze rustles the wildflowers nearby.
You're lucid from the offset,
Naturally,
With no one thing in particular prompting you,
Other than a gut feeling.
Hmm,
What should I do tonight?
And with that,
A strong thought surges through you.
Remember,
In this world,
I have the ability to transform into anything,
Literally.
Anyone,
Or anything.
So you begin to consider the options.
You feel overwhelmed for choice,
As you contemplate what to transform into.
Just pick something.
You finally decide,
Firmly.
It doesn't matter what,
Just start.
And with that,
You settle on something.
Something simple,
A chair.
And so,
Focusing your thoughts,
You slowly will yourself to transform into a sturdy wooden chair.
You feel your body reshaping,
Becoming smooth and polished.
A back,
And a seat,
And some legs.
And finally,
With a pop,
And a thunk,
Your will is manifest.
You are a wonderfully crafted chair,
Sitting silently in the meadow.
Suddenly,
You hear laughter in the distance,
And a group of children come running towards you,
Playing a game of tag.
One of them spots you,
And decides to sit down,
Unknowingly choosing you as their seat.
You experience the sensation of being sat on,
Feeling the weight of the child as he rests comfortably in your wooden embrace.
It's a strangely peaceful and grounding experience.
I'm glad I'm here to support him,
You think,
Comically.
As the children continue to play,
You decide to try something new.
Something a little more adventurous.
And so,
With a focused thought,
You begin to transform into a magnificent mountain.
Your form expands,
Turning from wooden to rocky,
And you feel yourself merging with the earth around you.
The world takes on a grandeur that you've never experienced before.
Your peak reaches skywards,
And you become part of the precious,
Timeless landscape.
You are a mountain.
From this new vantage point,
As a mountain,
You observe the world around you.
Clouds drift by,
Casting shadows on your slopes.
Birds soar by,
Making peaceful chirps.
And you can feel the slow passage of time,
Stretching on as the sun arcs overhead.
The sense of stillness and permanence is both awe-inspiring and humbling.
And you feel like you could stay this way forever.
After a while,
Your mind begins to once again wander.
What next,
You think,
Looking around for inspiration?
A bird,
Perhaps?
And with that,
You focus your thoughts once more,
Honing them with tunnel-like accuracy.
And with a floom,
You begin to transform.
Your body becomes lighter,
Smaller,
And your arms stretch into wings.
Then,
Feathers burst from your skin,
And you find yourself hovering above the mountain as a majestic eagle.
Wow,
I'm getting quite good at this,
You think,
Zooming away.
You flap your wings,
Feeling the rush of wind through your feathers as you soar effortlessly through the sky.
The world stretches below you in a breathtaking panorama.
From north to south,
West to east,
Then a forest emerges and begins to unfold,
A river winding its way through the trees.
You follow it,
Reveling in the sensation of flight,
Banking and gliding through the air with grace and precision.
And once more,
You feel overtaken by the experience,
As if you've never known anything else.
Just ahead,
You spot a shimmering lake.
I have an idea,
You think,
Briefly flapping upwards,
Gaining a smidge more altitude,
Before getting ready to careen down.
Like a rollercoaster,
At just the right height,
You release,
Barreling towards the lake with awesome speed,
Anticipating the final plunge into the sparkling water below.
And before you know it,
You're there.
And you do,
Penetrating the surface with a huge splash.
A whole new world reveals itself to you,
Beneath the water.
And without even meaning to,
You adapt,
By becoming a fish.
Now underwater,
As a fish,
You discover a whole new world of aquatic life,
Creatures darting amongst the rocks and aquatic plants swaying in the current.
You love the freedom of being a fish.
The world around you is teeming with life,
And you feel intimately connected to it,
In a way you've never felt before.
I could happily stay in this lucid dream forever,
You think,
Realizing how many different things there are on planet earth to experience.
Amazing things,
Inanimate things,
And beyond the earth,
Well,
Even more.
And so,
Dear traveler,
I now pass the reins over to you.
Take control of this dream.
What do you want to become next?
Where do you want to go?
The possibilities are truly endless.
If you listened to this lucid dreaming story just for fun,
I hope you enjoyed it,
And if you listened for induction purposes,
Then I hope this parting message now finds you relaxed and drifting.
Your lucid dreaming seeds have been sown.
Your mind has been primed.
And you are ready for sleep.
And so,
With that,
I draw this session to a close.
Remember,
You are a lucid dreamer.
Never forget it.
Happy dreaming.
