Hello dear one and welcome to this guided meditation for grounding.
Before we begin,
I want to make sure that we're clear about what it means to be grounded.
Feeling grounded means you have a sense of safety,
Of protection,
And an inner knowing that you'll be taken care of.
It means that you have a sense of feeling that you belong.
This is especially important for people who struggle with stress,
Overwhelm,
Or anxiety.
And it's important for all of us.
When your root chakra is open and grounded,
That means that you're able to expel any negative energies from the rest of your chakra system as well.
I invite you to close your eyes.
Settle into a comfortable position.
You may choose to stand or to sit.
When you're ready,
Start settling into your body.
And I invite you to imagine a deep red light at the base of your spine.
Imagine this light extending and expanding,
Swirling around the base of your spine in a clockwise motion.
Taking a deep breath in,
I invite you to imagine that this red light extending downwards through your legs on both sides,
Through your feet,
And becoming roots that leave the base of your feet and extending all the way down to the core of the earth.
Take a moment to acknowledge Mother Earth with a great mystery as she's called,
Or Gaia,
Pachamama.
And begin to feel that connection that you've established with her.
And feel those roots going down,
Down into the earth,
Helping release any energy from your body that no longer serves you,
Anything that is stuck or stagnant,
Any wounds that you're ready to release,
Any traumas,
Any energy that you've picked up from other people or other places.
Feel that energy just sinking and melting down through the roots of your feet,
The base of your feet.
And you can begin to feel the energy being transmuted at the core of the earth.
And on your in-breath,
Start to breathe up that energy from the core of the earth that's been transmuted for you.
This energy is clean and pure,
Grounding,
Full of love.
Keep visualizing that red light flowing down through your feet into the earth,
Through those roots that you've created.
And keep feeling that beautiful,
Cleansed energy coming up into your body,
Through your feet and up your legs,
Swirling around your hips,
In your reproductive area,
And continuing to move up through your body.
Passing through your root chakra,
Your sacral,
Your solar plexus,
Now your heart,
Your throat chakra,
Your third eye,
Your crown chakra,
Extending above your head to your soul star.
Feel this energy and this light that's flowing through you,
Just cleansing each chakra.
Now you can envision that energy flowing down through the front side of your body and down into the core of the earth again.
Allow this process to continue.
And when you're ready,
In your mind or allowed,
Affirm this statement along with me.
I am grounded.
I am centered and strong.
The energy of the earth flows through me.
I am protected and safe.
I am grounded.
Raise your hands by your heart in prayer position.
In your mind,
You can give thanks to Mother Earth.
Thank her for helping you feel more grounded today.
Take a little bow to the earth and to yourself for showing up today,
For taking care of yourself.
