I welcome you to this meditation.
My name is Saqib and I am your sleep and relaxation guide.
I will guide you through a journey into the world of sleep and deep rest.
And in this journey we will be using the moon's energy which will provide us with the required relaxation,
Calmness and stillness to enter the world of sleep.
Many of us used to love the moon in our childhood.
We used to stare at it for long durations in wonder.
Our parents used to tell stories about the moon and we had this sense of emotional connection with the moon.
However,
As we grew up,
We started neglecting it and our connection grew weaker and weaker so much that today we don't even remember to acknowledge its presence in the sky.
So tonight we will reconnect with the moon and will use its soothing energy to provide ultimate relaxation to our mind and our body.
Let's get started then.
Keep your eyes open for now.
We will close them soon.
See if you can shift your body in a slightly more comfortable position.
You can do a quick scan of your body and see if there are any muscles which are tensed.
Release the tension from those muscles and be as relaxed as possible.
Find a point in your line of sight and simply gaze at that point for some time.
This point may be on the roof of a wall or even some point in the dark if you can't see the wall or the roof.
Let your gaze be a soft case.
Don't strain your eyes.
Loosen and relax the muscles of your eyes.
Now gradually close your eyes.
Feel the presence of your body in your surroundings starting from your feet.
Feel your feet's presence,
The air touching them.
The presence of your legs.
The presence of your pelvis.
The presence of your stomach and lower back.
The presence of your hands and fingers.
Your arms.
Your chest and upper back.
Your neck.
The presence of your face.
And finally the top of your head.
Now let's set an intention for this meditation.
I will be saying the words of intention and either you can repeat after me or you can just listen.
It's up to you.
I give deep rest and relaxation to my mind and my body.

And now let's be thankful.
Many of us rarely remember to consciously thank the universe or God or collective consciousness or whatever we believe in.
So this is a good opportunity to do it.
Be thankful for whatever you wish to be.

Now check if there are any thoughts in your mind right now.
Just be aware of them.
Imagine these thoughts as bubbles rising in front of you with each thought representing one bubble.
In your imagination burst or pop these bubbles of thoughts one by one with a slight touch of your finger,
Just in your imagination.
It's time to meet our loving friend,
The moon.
Imagine that there is a window on the roof of your room and the moon has just appeared above this window.
It's looking beautiful in the night sky,
Shining with a golden white light.
Feel the connection you have with the moon.
The moon loves you unconditionally and hence it will provide you with its loving energy.
Imagine a beam of golden white light coming down from the moon and entering your heart.
Feel the light entering your heart and filling it up completely.
It's the love in your heart that the moon is sending you.
And now the moon will shower on you many beams of its light to fill your whole body with deep calmness.
This light of the moon has the power to relax your mind and body deeply and provide them with deep rest.
So imagine many beams of light being showered on you from the moon and filling your whole body.
Bath in this shower of light from the moon.
Now we will use a fraction of the moon's light to further relax our body into calmness.
Imagine a ring of bright white light encircling your head.
This ring of light is pure loving energy.
It is a beautiful gift from the moon and it will provide deep rest and relaxation to whichever part of the body it moves through.
Move this ring of light down your face slowly towards your neck and as you move it,
Feel it relaxing each and every part of your face.
As you move it further down your neck towards your navel,
Relax each and every part of your upper body including your arms and hands.
You can expand and contract the size of this ring depending upon the size of the body part through which it passes.
Now move it from your navel towards your feet.
In a similar fashion,
Move this ring upwards from your feet back to your navel.
Now from your navel to your neck including your hands and arms.
From your neck to the top of your head.
Feel this ring calming down your mind even further.
Now imagine this ring expanding upwards and downwards and completely encircling your body.
It is expanding to completely cover your body in this beautiful white light.
The light from the moon is your guardian angel which always takes care of you.
It's giving you a warm embrace of love,
Compassion,
Appreciation and care.
Feel and experience this embrace of love.
It's completely filling your body with bliss.
Your guardian angel has completely merged with your body and filled it completely with love.
The gateway to the world of sleep is through the heart.
So now we will journey from our mind to our heart and into a place of silence and stillness where we will rest,
Relax and sleep deeply.
For this we will move our awareness from the mind to the throat,
To the heart and into the place of silence and stillness.
So bring your awareness now at the point between your eyebrows.
Gradually move your awareness downwards and place your awareness at your throat at the center of your neck.
And now move your awareness further downwards and place it at the center of your chest.
From here we will journey inwards to a place of silence and stillness,
A place of pure being.
This place is deep within us.
Descend down to that place as I guide you.
I will be counting back from 10 to 1 and as I do so with each count imagine and feel as if you are descending one step into that place of silence,
Stillness and sleep.
Once you reach that place of pure being just relax there by simply listening to the music in the background for some time as you go deeper and deeper into the world of sleep.
