I am thankful for all your support,
I am thankful for the messages you leave me and everyone who connects with me to take this journey on a completely personal level.
Today I would like to talk to you about the Quirky Otter.
At the moment of recording we have said goodbye to the winter goose and we are now entering into the time of the otter.
The otter is from January 20th to February 18th on the Northern Hemisphere.
On the Southern Hemisphere it is from July 22nd to August 22nd.
And of course I am talking here in the zodiac system,
The North American zodiac system.
It is beautifully set up to have that connection with nature and with our animals.
So the zodiac is normally run in our minds or on paper or when you read about it from a specific date to a specific date.
But of course it goes with ebb and flow.
So one is not really coming in and saying goodbye and then straight after another animal comes.
There is some time where the ebb and flow and where they are together and where you would say there is a little bit of a handover.
So going from the winter into the otter is also of course a period of time of the handover.
The beautiful thing with this zodiac animal is that this zodiac animal is really embracing the joy of life and being creative with it.

But today I want to talk to you about the otter.
When the otter arrives in your life,
It's a time of exploring feminist mysteries and medicine.
Your animal helper is sensible,
One supporting spiritual awareness and devotion as a framework for the progress.
Otter symbolism and meaning reflects the ability to play and to find renewed joy in life for balancing out the more stressful and the moment times.
The otter has the ability to live in the water as it can live on land.
There are two different families of otters.
One family lives in the ocean and the other family lives in the river.
The fact that the otter can live in the water and on the land gives them a very different element on earth that they have access to.
To combine these two different energies gives them a perspective of different views.
Not every animal is of course able to do this.
The otter knows the seriousness but can play at the same time and this is an invitation from the otter to all of us.
Go and play like you've never done before and know that the joy will create your authentic gift.
And that's why it's always so much fun to watch them.
When the otter shows up for us as a spirit animal,
It invites us to go and explore.
Being born on a zodiac sign,
It gives you the advantage to work with the powers these amazing zodiac animals bring us.
As with any zodiac energy,
Spirit tries to support us in many different ways and it is our free will to take the invitation and work with it.
The otter always wants us to experience freedom and to be comfortable with relaxing play and joy.
When you are born under this zodiac sign,
This is where your power lay.
This may not always be appreciated by your environment as it might be seen as slacking.
Otter people know the difference very well.
Slacking has no creativity or energy in it.
It is bringing anything forth except feeling uncomfortable.
If you have issues with procrastination or slacking with your work or with other activities,
You'll like to connect with this spirit animal because it knows how to connect with joy and play and get those creative juices going.
The otter knows how to get joy in and having dealing with it really well and doing your work.
They always get the job done,
What needs to be done.
I can hear you think,
But what about if you need to be perfect?
Well,
Even if you need things to be perfect,
You can be perfect and having fun.
Those two things should always be connected with the otter say.
Otter connects us with our inner child.
Our inner child connects us with play and our passion and it takes out all the noise that has been added over the years.
Our inner child knows our why.
Our why is what drives us.
It gets us out of bed and wants us to stay up late.
Our inner child brings a passion to play with no boundaries.
Remember in our last session with the winter goose where we were looking at those childhood themes?
Well,
The otter helps us to move forward with these themes.
The otter helps us to be brave and take action outside the box.
When we would follow the pace of the otter uncontrollably,
We would start to feel overwhelmed,
Especially with the in and out of the water and the diving underwater and the trolling and the getting up again and getting down again.
Do you remember playing this game in the pool when you were younger or playing it with other kids?
I used to love it.
It would make me dizzy and giggly.
Have the otter show up in this way,
It gives you a message that life around you is taking over.
You are just following anything that is in front of you.
You have lost your why.
This can easily happen these days,
So many things on our list.
Do you ever wonder if these on your list are actually yours?
Maybe they are your parents or they are your bosses or even your environment we live in could influence our list.
Of course,
Everyone is hanging out within your social life in a certain area.
For example,
Everyone loves to go camping.
It doesn't mean you have to.
The otter invites you to take a breath and check in.
Wait a minute,
Is this still on my list?
Or is my list merging with others?
Overwhelmed does that with us.
It is easy to keep going with the stream instead of finding a little beach to hang out on and take a moment what it was you started out with.
It is that feeling when you start decluttering and you are wondering,
So why do I have three tracers and never use them?
Watch yourself so that you don't go overboard with the task of re-finding yourself and forget about others completely.
It is the balance between the two of course.
When you share an affinity with the otter totem,
You have that eumeterity in spirit.
You seek to make lives of people better and you find joy and contentment in making the world a better place.
Even you like to go on your own and accomplish tasks by yourself,
You are loving the affection and the loyal to no end.
You have an aptitude for chatter and you can easily talk up a storm.
You are curious and intelligent and people you talk to will learn so many things when they are listening to you.
People love to hang out with you.
You are creative with a high flying imagination and the otter's meaning is not about being booked in because the meaning of the otter is about building a future that you will be proud of.
The otter's meaning is well analyzed in you because you are willing to work hard for the good of everyone you care about.
Even if it sometimes means sacrificing your own happiness or independence.
But all with small doses.
So always balance back.
You pride yourself in being inventive,
Playful,
Social and you have such a positive energy that it makes appreciation of good things and you can make a positive spin out of anything.
So having the otter as your spirit animal or your zodiac animal really helps you to define yourself within the play,
Within the connecting of your childlike being and creating from that joy something that will become sustainable and will become a real strong foundation of keeping building,
Keeping building community,
Keeping building your family or your job or your career.
If you are not born on the otter totem and you would just like to work with the otter,
The otter is a really great spirit animal when you want to stop dwelling on the past.
The otter spirit really wants you to learn from mistakes.
So if you want to work with that and you know not make the same mistakes over or the same choices I would rather say so that you can move on and not have the feeling that you keep doing the same thing over and over.
Another reason why to connect with the otter is also good when you are struggling against certain challenges in your life.
Because of the joy the otter will help you and find different ways to play out your life.
If you like to learn to go with this flow and not constantly swim against life's current you will find that the otter can help you navigate that a little bit better.
Even if you have to swim up the flow or the current it will learn you how to do it and how to get stronger by it.
If you like to just enter the energy of joy and laughter because you come out of a period of time where you've really missed that your otter is also the perfect animal for you to go with.
