COURSE
With Ananya Iyer
When sleep becomes something you feel you must achieve, bedtime can quickly turn into another place of effort, monitoring, and frustration. Yoga Nidra for Deep Sleep offers a gentler approach. Across five progressive lessons, Ananya will guide you through the foundations of Yoga Nidra for sleep: releasing the pressure to fall asleep, moving attention out of mental story and into the body, allowing the breath to breathe itself, and learning to leave thoughts unfinished until morning. Each lesson combines clear teaching with a guided Yoga Nidra experience, helping you understand not only what to practice, but why it may support deeper rest. You will learn how to reduce the pressure to make sleep happen, use body awareness to quiet mental activity, follow the natural breath without controlling it, notice thoughts without becoming absorbed in them, build a simple nighttime Yoga Nidra ritual, and develop a more trusting relationship with rest. You do not need any previous experience with Yoga Nidra. You may remain awake, drift in and out, or fall asleep during the practices. There is no perfect way to experience them. By the end of the course, you will have a complete bedtime practice you can return to whenever your body feels tired but your mind remains active. Sleep is not a performance. Rest begins when trying begins to soften. Please note: As this practice is designed for deep sleep, please do not listen while driving or operating heavy machinery.
