This short practice can interrupt a cycle of stress or drama returning you to a state of feeling of feeling bright and alive. Playing with a simple strategy called “Remember the view,” you’ll connect with places and actions that charge you with energy and light you up. Within a few cycles of breath and a few moments in silence, you’ll discover that you can reclaim your natural positivity anytime.

Transcript

Take a seat,

Close your eyes,

And take three long deep breaths.

Think of one place in the world where you feel most empowered and energized,

Such as your bed,

Your backyard,

Or on top of a mountain.

Or choose an action that empowers and energizes you,

Such as skiing down a mountain,

Playing an instrument,

Or looking out at the ocean.

This should be a place or action that charges you with energy.

Like an electrical outlet,

This particular place or action fuels you up and makes you feel bright.

Now bring this experience to your mind.

Try to mentally recreate this experience with as much detail as possible.

Resting in the quiet space of this particular view,

Allow your body and mind to absorb the moment.

Notice how your body and mind feel in this moment.

With this view in mind,

Notice how you feel right here and right now.

In this place or with this action,

How does your body feel?

How do your muscles feel?

Are you smiling,

Intensely focused,

Or peaceful and at ease?

Place your full attention on recreating this place or action.

What do you see?

What do you smell?

What do you hear or taste?

What does feeling energized,

Awake,

Alert,

And fully alive feel like?

Take note of any shift in perspective you feel.

Remembering the view interrupts your tendency to get caught in drama and distraction and strengthens your connection to being bright and fully alive.

Remember the view at least once every day.

If you feel drama brewing,

Take a breath to pause and remember one of your go-to places or actions.

Within a few cycles of breath and a few moments in silence,

You'll feel brighter,

Lighter,

And more energized.

Just Wow! From the mountain top, i feel courageous and able and alive! I get perspective...the everyday things and drama are sooooo small in comparison with vastless possibilities and peace. No need getting caught up i these small petty tasks and drama. Than you 🙏🙏🙏
