Day 16 Cultivating Positive Emotions Sit or lie in a comfortable position that you can hold for 5 minutes.
Close your eyes.
Take a deep breath and as you release it relax back into this time,
Into this space.
This is your time and your space.
Use visualization and imagination to open your mind's eye.
Tap into your senses.
Take your attention to the top of your head and imagine a bright tunnel of light coming up and out of the top of your head.
As you focus on this light,
Imagine that you are being lifted up into the tunnel of light,
Transported upwards.
You are moving up above your body.
Moving up and out into the atmosphere,
Up above the house,
Up above the trees,
Up above the clouds,
Transported to another place until you find yourself sitting on top of a huge mountain overlooking the most magnificent view.
The air is still,
Warm and fragrant with spring blossoms.
The sky is the brightest of blue and the calm space brings a smile to your face and now smile.
Being here for a moment,
Simply take it all in,
Into your imagination.
This expansion of being where you feel all the good things.
The lightness of happiness,
Joy,
Safe,
Warmth,
Gratitude,
Appreciation,
Peace,
Connection to the earth.
Connection to the universe,
Connection to others.
That you are part of something beyond yourself,
A spark of the universe.
As the universe was created,
You too were created like magic.
Within you is also the universe.
The wonder of knowing this fills you with certainty and peace.
Love is yours and yours to experience in its purest form.
As you think of the goodness inside,
You relax back and allow that goodness to emanate,
To be felt in your body.
Let it nourish you.
Sit here for a moment,
Enjoying this feeling of love.
Now return to the tunnel of light.
Returning back to yourself.
Moving downwards,
Coming back into your body.
Feel the surface beneath you as you land.
Hear the sounds around you.
Feel the tongue in your palate.
Take a breath in and open your eyes and notice how you feel.
