Welcome to your North Star sleep time meditation,
Letting go with the autumn leaves.
Settle into your bed now.
Allow your body to sink in to the mattress,
Like the earth receiving the weight of a fallen leaf.
Close your eyes gently,
Breathe in slowly and breathe out even more softly.
Each breath,
A quiet invitation to let go.
Imagine yourself walking along a woodland path in Ireland.
The air is cool,
Carrying the scent of damp soil and moss.
Underfoot,
Leaves scatter in shades of burnt orange,
Deep red and soft gold.
Each step releases a gentle crackle,
Grounding you in this moment.
Above the branches sway,
The weaker autumn sun drifts in and out of the clouds,
Touching the forest floor with shifting light.
This dance of shadow and brightness reminds you nothing stays the same.
Moments move,
Clouds pass and you too can let go.
Take a moment now to raise your eyes gently upwards until your gaze is met at that space deep within and behind your third eye.
Let yourself fall into this space as you take a full inhale,
Hold that breath for one,
Two,
Three.
Open your mouth and exhale fully,
Sighing out,
Releasing out and letting go.
Keep focused on that space between your eyebrows,
Falling deeper like a leaf drifting slowly from a tree.
You're softly,
Effortlessly drifting,
Surrendering and letting go.
When you rest like this,
When you let go,
Something opens in you,
A quiet strength rises,
A steadiness that does not need to force or fight or chase.
It is already here,
Waiting,
Ready.
As the light fades,
You remember the warmth of kindness.
A moment when someone helped you,
Even in a small way,
How that simple act lifted your heart,
Softened your breath,
Eased your day.
And you remember too a time you helped another,
The look in their eyes,
The feeling in your body,
The quiet pride,
The gentle connection.
These moments are never lost.
They live inside you,
Steady and true.
Like a pet dog who loves without hesitation,
You too hold within you an openness,
A patience and a deep capacity for love.
And as you rest now,
Dropping and drifting,
Breathing deep,
These words come to you like a soft whisper carried through the trees.
If you can't touch happiness now,
When can you be happy?
Happiness is not something you can postpone to the future.
You have to challenge yourself to be happy right here and now.
Notice how the words settle inside you.
Happiness is not a single prize to chase.
It is not found only in milestones or great events.
It is here in so many small conditions,
Woven together like countless leaves making up the beauty of autumn.
Perhaps tonight,
Happiness is the comfort of your bed,
The rhythm of your breath,
The memory of kindness,
The quiet strength of your own body,
The sound of stillness all around.
There are many conditions for happiness.
They are already here.
And when you pause to notice them,
Happiness becomes simple,
Spacious and close at hand.
The forest calls you back to presence.
The cool,
Damp air against your skin.
The faint golden glow of the sun breaking through clouds.
There is no need to think ahead.
No need to look back.
Here and now is enough.
Your body understands this.
Your breath understands this.
Every cell in you is learning quietly how to rest.
And now you let go even more deeply,
Like the last leaves falling gently to the ground.
You surrender to rest,
To peace,
To renewal.
The weaker sun slips behind the clouds.
The damp earth is holding you steady,
Completely.
The trees stand guard around you.
You are safe.
You are supported.
You are loved.
Tonight you drift with ease.
You let go of striving.
You let go of waiting.
You let go of fear.
You rest now in the truth,
That letting go is natural,
Effortless and healing.
And as sleep comes,
You are carried gently,
Softly,
Beautifully into dreams of peace,
Into dreams of renewal,
Into dreams of freedom.
You are safe.
You are loved.
You drift.
You are free.
Drifting,
Releasing.
My love,
Fiona
