Turn fear to gratitude.
A powerful exercise to transform anxiety into gratitude.
Close your eyes and take seven deep belly breaths.
So breathe in now for seven and feel the rise of your hand on your belly.
Slowly exhale as you feel the gentle fall of your belly.
Breathe in for six.
Five.
Five.
Four.
Four.
Three.
Two.
Two.
One.
Notice how you feel after just seven deep breaths.
Is your mind calmer?
Mine is.
Focus on a person in your life who is very supportive towards you.
If you can't think of a person in your life right now,
Think of a pet,
Someone from your past or a higher power.
Visualise this presence now.
What small acts of kindness do they do to show you their love?
Bring your attention to your heart.
Imagine the light of gratitude entering into your heart.
Focus on how thankful you are to have this person in your life.
Notice that this person or presence makes you feel safe,
Warm and loved.
Imagine looking into their eyes and simply saying,
Thank you for being in my life.
Imagine replacing this person's face with your own.
You are always there for yourself,
Always on your own side.
Notice the warm glow of gratitude in your heart and mind.
Soak in this feeling,
Absorb it and resonate in it.
Now keep this feeling as strong as you can and try just for a moment to feel anxious or stressed.
Notice that this is not possible when you feel full of gratitude.
And whenever you are ready,
You can gently open your eyes.
