Hello and welcome to Daily Balm.
If you are having a difficult time finding rest and relaxation in your mind and your body,
Join me for this brief meditation.
Begin to find yourself in a comfortable seated or lying down position,
Feeling safe in your space.
Begin to soften your eyes or close them completely.
As we take a moment to settle into our space,
We are reminded of the peace that God provides when we lie down and sleep.
For God alone will make us dwell in safety.
Using that to center us,
We ground ourselves in God's Spirit by taking deep breaths in through your belly and slowly out through the mouth,
Feeling the face soften and the arms and the legs become heavy as you begin to find rest and relaxation in your physical body.
As you continue to breathe,
Repeat this affirming affirmation of God's peace,
Rest,
And relaxation.
My mind finds rest in your love.
Feel free to say this aloud or in the silence of your mind.
Let's repeat it again.
My mind finds rest in your love.
Breathe deeply as you allow this affirmation to settle into your heart and your spirit.
As you settle a little bit more,
We'll repeat our next affirmation.
My body breathes your love.
Notice on the inhaling breath as the entire body breathes and expands and as you exhale,
Settling in his love.
Our final affirmation,
My spirit is aware and connects with your love.

Take a nice deep breath in from your belly and slowly release as you place your right hand over your chest and your left hand over your belly,
Knowing that God is with you.
Now as you breathe,
Lie down in peace.
