This is a quick 5-minute meditation that will help you stay focused throughout the day. This track is ideal if you are in a rush or only have a short amount of time to practice during the day. Set up your day for a focused and optimized experience.

Transcript

Please find a comfortable position to either sit or lie down.

Let your body settle into the space,

Gently releasing any tension in your shoulders,

Neck or face.

Close your eyes if it feels comfortable.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Filling your lungs completely.

Hold for a moment and then slowly exhale through your mouth.

Releasing any stress or tension.

Repeat this two more times,

Allowing your breath to guide you into a calm and centred state.

Hopefully you feel a little more calm and centred.

Let's set an intention for focus during the day.

Gently set your intention by silently saying to yourself,

Today I am focused,

I am clear and I use my energy with purpose.

Once again,

Today I am focused,

I am clear and I use my energy with purpose.

Let this energy settle in your mind,

Like a small flame lighting the path of your day.

Now starting from the top of your head,

I'd like you to begin a body scan.

Please bring your awareness slowly down through your body.

Feel the weight of your head,

The steadiness in your neck,

The relaxation in your shoulders.

Move your attention down through your chest,

Your abdomen,

Your legs and finally your feet.

As you scan,

Release any areas of tightness or distraction,

Drawing yourself fully into the present moment.

Now bring your full attention to your breath.

Feel each inhale filling your body with fresh energy and each exhale letting go of any lingering distractions.

Notice the air flowing in and out,

As if it's gently washing away any thoughts or concerns that might take you away from the present.

Now in your mind's eye,

I would like you to visualise yourself moving through your day with clarity and focus.

See yourself tackling tasks with ease and purpose,

Feeling productive and at ease with each action.

Picture yourself flowing from one task to the next,

Fully present,

Energised and in control.

Let the feeling of accomplishment fill you.

That's great.

And finally,

I'd like to bring your attention to something you are grateful for today.

It could be the opportunities you have,

The people you interact with or simply the ability to work towards your goals.

Allow gratitude to deepen your sense of purpose and motivation.

That's fantastic.

Hopefully this quick morning meditation will enhance your day and help you carry this calm,

Focused energy with you into your day,

Knowing that you have the power to stay centred,

Productive and purposeful.
