The biggest superpower you have is not even how intelligent you are or how much you know or your network,
Those are huge superpowers,
But your biggest superpower is the ability to be with discomfort,
To stay comfortable in discomfort.
And discomfort could be like you really want those chocolates on the table,
But you know that it's going to spike your insulin,
It's going to spike your blood sugar,
It's not that great for you,
And you ride that moment of discomfort without making the discomfort go away by eating it.
Discomfort could be you can have a hard conversation with your partner.
Discomfort could be you could take the risk of starting a startup and starting something new and not knowing what to do next and being in a situation where you're not the expert and then you grow and you become the expert and you become good at it and you take risks.
So I found that the thing that helps me stay with discomfort is meditating daily,
Because it teaches you to be with any moment and still stay connected and kind to yourself.
And the second thing that helps me stay with discomfort is just having more energy.
The less energy I have,
The more likely I am to give in to the temptation right now.
The more energy I have,
The less the discomfort kind of bothers me.
The easier it is to look at a higher picture because I'm feeling pretty good in a moment if I have energy.
So I hope that's helpful to you.
And embrace,
Welcome,
Don't be afraid of those moments of discomfort.
Discomfort is definitely not all bad.
Not pain,
But just uncomfort,
Discomfort,
A little bit of awkwardness.
I think that's the space between not getting what you want and then getting what you want.
It's kind of riding that discomfort.
