You're talking about mind's attention.
Mind's attention is different from awareness.
Okay.
Okay,
These are two different things.
Mind's attention is like a spotlight.
You're trying to focus on reading something or learning something.
That is mind's attention.
You're focusing like a spotlight.
But there is a knowingness knowing that the mind is trying to pay attention right now.
Yes.
So I'm talking about the knowingness,
The awareness,
Not mind's attention or focus on a particular object.
These are two different things.
Get it?
Okay.
Yeah.
When you are trying to expand,
You're using your mind.
And that is why that meditation does not bring a long lasting silence.
That meditation does not bring peace.
It just brings a temporary calmness of the mind because you focused,
Focused,
Focused,
Focused,
Focused and relax the focus.
In relaxing the focus,
Obviously there is a rest that you will experience.
And then you think,
I meditated very well.
You did not meditate at all.
You focused on something.
Maybe it is a sound.
Maybe it is a word.
It is not different from focusing on studying in school or in college.
Is the same focus.
And when you relax the focus,
You feel hard,
Rest.
Exactly that's what we have been doing in other meditations.
Now we are rising one step higher.
Who is knowing that the mind's attention was focused on this particular object,
Whether it is whatever you want.
