Hi my friend,
Welcome to the Four Agreements meditation series.
This is the last agreement by Don Miguel Ruiz.
The fourth agreement is always do your best.
Slowly turn inward,
Discover a restorative space to meet your heart,
Allow the outer world to fade away,
And breathe your way inward,
Inhale,
Exhale,
Slowing down your breath to slow down your mind,
Breathe in,
Feel the weight of your body,
Allowing yourself to feel heavy and held.
Always do your best,
And doing your best isn't about perfection my friend,
It's about showing up with presence,
Intention,
And effort in each moment no matter how you're feeling.
What does doing your best mean to you?
Maybe it's actually about being present,
Giving your full attention to your work,
Breathe out,
Notice if there's any pressure here,
To do more,
To be more,
Or to be perfect.
Can you gently remind yourself,
Doing my best is enough,
Imagine looking at yourself from this outward perspective,
Really acknowledging all that you are,
And recognizing how far you've come,
What it took to get here,
Not every day looked the same.
Doing your best varies from day to day,
And still you are here,
Can you reassure yourself right here,
Whispering to yourself,
I see your effort,
I see how hard you are working,
I see how you are trying,
And even on days when things don't go as planned,
Your best is valid,
Your best is enough,
With every breath you take,
Feel this self-acceptance grow within you,
Letting go of any doubt,
Letting go of any pressure,
Letting go of any expectations,
You are doing your best,
And that is more than enough.
In breath,
Repeating in the quiet of your own mind or out loud,
I release the need for perfection,
I honor my effort,
I trust that I am enough,
I know I am doing my best,
And always do your best,
Your best is going to change from moment to moment,
It will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick,
Under any circumstance,
Simply do your best,
And most importantly,
Carry this sense of acceptance and peace,
Releasing self-judgment,
Being proud of your effort,
All you can do is your best in each moment,
Feel this peace in your heart here now,
As you return to your knowing and what it means to do your best,
If your heart could speak to you in this moment,
What would it whisper?
Reflect now on the four agreements,
Be impeccable with your word,
Don't take anything personally,
Don't make assumptions,
Always do your best,
What will you carry with you?
What a gift it is to create more awareness,
To shift your mind,
Your heart,
To really integrate these four agreements,
Notice the shift here,
See this version of you here now,
Breathe in slow,
Breathe out slower,

Dive deeper,
Continue to open your heart and your mind,
No rush here,
Coming out of your practice,
Maybe rolling your shoulders a couple times,
Finding some gentle intuitive movement,
Only when you're ready,
Blinking your eyes open,
Reorienting yourself in your space,
Thanking yourself for showing up,
One more breath in,
And one more breath out,
