Transcript

Slowly turn inward,

Find a comfortable space to land,

Closing your eyes if you'd like.

And rest your hands on your lap with your palms facing up,

Feeling this open energy.

Breathe in deeply,

Breathe out slowly.

Really feel the weight of your body against the cushion,

The ground beneath you,

Feeling held,

Supported,

Rooted.

Allow your face to relax,

Your jaw to soften,

Feel the shoulders drop down,

Allow the elbows to pull down,

Letting the arms feel heavy,

Bring awareness to the wrists,

The hands.

Feel the back of your hands and the connection point to your legs,

Your lap.

Breathe in slowly,

Exhale.

It is a relief to know that you don't have to be in control.

Control is perfection in disguise.

Visualize your hands here,

Maybe your knuckles turning white,

As you grip tightly to control,

To wanting to have it all figured out,

Everything perfect.

Maybe if it feels right to you,

You even bring your hands to fists,

Squeezing,

Relating this posture to gripping,

Grasping onto control.

Breathe in,

Really squeeze the fists,

Exhale,

Release the palms,

Feel the hands unravel,

Feel the letting go,

Bring awareness to every single finger,

Releasing,

Opening,

Softening the palms,

I release control.

Maybe whisper this out loud or in the quiet of your own mind,

And continue to feel the surrender,

The softening of your hands,

I release control.

There is so much out of our control,

My friend,

And we spend so much energy trying to control it all,

It's time to let go,

Exhale,

Let it all go,

Feel the weight of worry leave your shoulders,

Feel the pressure of perfection leave your heart,

Exhale,

Breathe in,

Exhale out your mouth,

Hold,

Breathe in a little more,

Couple more breaths using this breath pattern if it serves you,

Inhale,

Hold,

Take in another sip of air,

Notice the energy you've created here now,

This state of peace and surrender.

Maybe throughout the rest of your day,

Rest of your week,

You can breathe in and squeeze your hands into fists,

And then exhale,

Let the hands relax,

It's a beautiful reminder to release control.

Really notice how you feel now,

Let this version of you sink into you,

Resting here even more,

Noticing your surroundings,

Feeling held,

Staying in this gentle inward space,

Even as you open your eyes if they were closed,

And carry on into your evening.

One breath at a time,

Keep releasing control,

Inhale deeply,

Let it go,
