Welcome to this moment.
Allow everything to drift away as you land safely right here.
Gently closing your eyes if you'd like.
Focus inward.
Everything around you melts away.
It's just you and your inner world.
You are a safe place to land.
No matter what is going on around you,
You can breathe your way back to calm right here.
Slow breath in,
Big sigh out your mouth,
Slow steady inhale,
Long steady exhale,
Encouraging your breath to deepen and slow down.
Follow the breath out.
Really hear your breath and feel your breath.
Allow the sound of your breath to soothe your nervous system,
Allowing this calm to wash over you.
Inhale,
Feel how the breath reminds you to soften in body.
Use the exhale to really release any tension,
Let go of anything you're holding on to.
Breathe it in.
Exhale release something.
Feel the softening in the shoulders,
Releasing any heaviness in the heart.
Feel your body rooted and safe right here.
Deep breath in,
Deep exhale.
Every breath you take is proof that you are here.
We cannot breathe in the past,
We cannot breathe in the future,
We can only breathe right here,
Right now.
Breathe into this moment a little more.
Inhale,
Inhale deeply,
Hold the inhale,
Take in a little bit more air,
Exhale let it go.
Inhale,
Inhale deeply,
Hold,
Take in a little bit more air,
Exhale let it go.
One more breath like that.
Inhale,
Hold,
Exhale let it go.
Normal breath in.
Maybe noticing that you've grown in your capacity to inhale and exhale.
Maybe noticing that you've created a little more space.
Every breath you take allows you to return closer to your heart,
Your home.
As you continue to deepen your breath,
Open your heart and your mind to these beautiful words by Cleo Wade.
How to breathe when you want to give up.
Today I am breathing through fatigue,
Fear,
And feeling overwhelmed.
I breathe because when I breathe I am reminded that I am alive.
I am reminded that to be able to fill my body with air means that I have the ability to keep going.
I am reminded that my time here on earth may be short,
But it can be powerful if I dedicate it to love.
When I breathe,
I am reminded of Mary Oliver when she wrote,
Tell me what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
So I breathe and I let my breath turn into a smile that says back to her,
As much as I can.
As you breathe in and breathe out,
You are all the way alive.
My friend,
As you breathe here,
What comes to heart?
When you think of what will you do with this one wild and precious life?
Breathe and remember that you can keep going and that you are worthy of the life of your dreams.
In breath,
Notice how the breath has shifted,
Rearranged,
Changed the energy within you.
Notice the you that's here now.
Notice how when you breathe,
You come back to calm.
Notice how when you breathe,
You come back to loving awareness.
Notice how when you breathe,
You come back to your true essence.
Notice how when you breathe,
You come back to your true essence.
May you continue to hold on to the inhale and hold on to the exhale.
Carry this practice with you,
Slowly making your way back into the room that you're in,
The space you're in.
Blinking your eyes open if they were closed,
Finding that soft smile once again.
Keep breathing.
You are alive and you can keep going,
One breath at a time,
From my heart to yours.
