Start to deepen your breath.

Inhale through your nose.

Exhale,

Let it go.

Finding a safe place to land.

Begin to turn inward.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Slow inhale,

Slow exhale.

Maybe closing your eyes if they aren't already closed.

Using your exhale to soften your face,

Your neck,

Your shoulders.

Beginning to really see yourself as you are.

My friend,

You are the most constant thing in your life.

Person that is always with you,

Near you,

Around you,

Beside you,

Is you.

Are you aware of this inner friend that is waiting to low,

Slow exhale?

You are the most constant thing in your life.

You are with yourself from the beginning to the end of each and every day of every moment.

You are the common denominator in every experience you have.

Take a slow inhale and exhale.

Maybe bringing your hands to your heart if that feels okay.

There is no love like your own.

There is no support like your own.

May you give yourself the gift of befriending your mind,

Your heart,

Your body,

Your soul.

Take a slow inhale and exhale.

Softening into the safe,

Warm,

Welcoming home within you.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Feeling lifted by your own support and encouragement.

Tapping into the best friend that you could ever have,

You.

So instead of reaching outward,

Turn inward and really meet yourself.

Deep breath in,

Deep exhale.

Holding yourself through it all.

Imagining grabbing your own hand,

Giving it a squeeze and saying to yourself,

I am here and I am not going anywhere.

I am here and I am not going anywhere.

Just notice the shift as you befriend your mind,

Your heart,

Your body.

Befriending all parts of you.

Falling in love with all of you.

The joy,

The pain,

The heartache,

The grief,

The gifts,

The shame.

Loving on everything that you find.

Befriending yourself and you shall never again be truly lonely.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in and exhale.

Tapping your arms around you,

Giving yourself a squeeze.

Befriending yourself and you shall never again be truly lonely.

What a gift it is to be you and to be held by you.

Take one more deep breath in,

Big exhale.

May you choose to be kind to your mind,

From my heart to yours.

I think a lot of our pain and angst and sadness can be alleviated by not always turning outward, but turning inward and being our own best friend. Thank you for this reminder! 🙏🦋🌻
