Hello,
My name is Eden and I am a therapist,
Reiki teacher,
And meditation guide.
Now whether you've found this meditation through one of my Reiki courses or just through the web of life,
Welcome.
These meditations are intended to deepen your relationship to your intuition and gifts,
And facilitate an understanding of your own internal landscape.
Each meditation is also a tool that can be offered to yourself or a client,
So I invite you to notice what shifts within you before,
During,
After,
Beyond the meditation,
Cataloging the effects with words and feelings and sensations,
Just letting yourself take note.
Allow it to be personal and universal.
Let's begin.
And our meditation today is specifically tailored for the grounding in a somatic session.
Some version or another of this meditation is one that I bring in at the beginning of a Reiki session.
To cultivate awareness,
Presence,
Curiosity,
And to also remind the other person that I am not a healer.
I am their mirror.
So go ahead and find comfort in your body exactly as you are.
And then asking yourself,
How can I make myself just 2% more comfortable right now?
And doing that.
And then we'll take just 3 grounding breaths together.
So go ahead and find the bottom of your exhale.
Inhale through the nose.
And sigh it out the mouth.
Two more just like that.
In through the nose.
And sigh it out,
Letting something else go too.
Last one,
In through the nose.
And sigh it out,
Shoulders move away from the ears.
Good.
And now just let the breath flow in and out as it pleases.
And starting to allow yourself to get just a little closer to the present moment.
And if that means making your physical body a little more comfy again,
Please do so.
Or if in this moment it means making a list of everything that you need to do after our time together.
And then imagine yourself leaving that list right outside the door.
Do that.
What do you need to let yourself be just a little bit more right here?
What needs to be released so that we can start to make space,
Clear out,
Usher in?
Recognizing too that change becomes so much more difficult if we are tense in the body or the mind.
Letting something go.
And then just gently turning your awareness,
Your attention to your breath.
Just watching as it moves in and out of the body.
Releasing any stories,
Any judgment,
Any pride.
Just being with the breath.
This breath.
What can you notice?
How can you map it out?
Maybe you start to sense a few different textures.
And notice now that likely just by bringing your awareness to the breath,
That your body and your mind have relaxed a little bit more.
Your breath has slowed and deepened already telling your mind and body that you are safe.
That you can trust yourself to relax.
To be here.
So just soaking that in for a few more breaths here.
Noticing what's here.
And then gently letting that focus go.
Taking your time to find a restful place within you,
Within the psyche,
The body.
Where you can just mentally relax while still being here.
Some call this your center.
I like to think of it as the place where my calm lives.
Go there.
That witness state where you become the one who watches everything that moves through you.
The thoughts,
Emotions,
Sensations,
Visualizations,
Memories.
You are the one who watches.
Settling in there.
And for the rest of our time together,
This is where you will be.
While also recognizing that none of us are perfect.
And our humanity often comes online and how beautiful that is.
So there will be moments where you mentally wander off.
Sometimes into a dream state,
Sometimes into that to-do list again.
Maybe enraptured in the memory,
Emotion,
Sensation,
Visualization.
That's okay.
And whenever you've noticed that you've wandered off,
Just gently,
With grace,
With loving compassion,
Taking note of where you've gone.
And then gently ushering yourself back into the present moment.
Maybe imagining that thought just floating away on a cloud or down the stream.
And returning to this calm,
Centered,
Witness state within you that is so present.
So here.
And knowing too that if you ever do need something to anchor back into to remind yourself of where to be.
Know that the breath is always here for you as your anchor back into this present moment.
And with that,
We begin.
And here is when I would usually open up a Reiki session.
Bringing in the intention,
Clearing the space.
Starting to move through my practice and being with this person even more deeply.
So thank you for taking this space for yourself.
To cultivate this awareness,
To be so present,
And to notice what it's like to just let yourself settle in,
In this way.
And while this was just the opening to sessions,
Maybe there's something still here.
That you've already received.
That you've already calibrated towards.
Taking a moment to notice what that is for you,
What's moving through you,
What's here.
And slowly,
Gently bringing yourself back to this day,
In your own time,
In your own space.
