Hello,

My name is Eden and I am a therapist,

Reiki teacher,

And meditation guide.

Now whether you've found this meditation through one of my Reiki courses or just through the web of life,

Welcome.

These meditations are intended to deepen your relationship to your intuition and gifts,

And facilitate an understanding of your own internal landscape.

Each meditation is also a tool that can be offered to yourself or a client,

So I invite you to notice what shifts within you before,

During,

After,

Beyond the meditation,

Cataloging the effects with words and feelings and sensations,

Just letting yourself take note.

Allow it to be personal and universal.

Let's begin.

And today we are going to be practicing sending distance Reiki to a plant.

Another living,

Beautiful life form that we need in order to be alive.

And yet has more subtlety to it than humans or animals.

So go ahead and just locate a plant around you,

Maybe it's one of your house plants,

Maybe it's a tree outside or your garden.

Just taking a moment to choose.

One plant.

And just taking a few slow,

Deep breaths as you look at that plant,

Or imagine it if it's too far away.

Really noticing the intricacies of the plant,

The shape,

The shade,

The textures,

The strength,

The softness.

And maybe you start to let a perception come through,

Some sort of emotional experience with this plant.

Maybe it feels like it's embodying strength or vulnerability,

Courageousness,

Something else.

Taking a moment to just let this plant inform your life,

Somehow,

Right now.

What lesson can you learn from this living thing right in front of you?

And if they aren't already,

Now you can close the eyes down.

A few more deep breaths in and out.

And still imagining the plant in your mind's eye,

And still with your proprioception,

Knowing exactly where that plant is around you without needing to open the eyes.

So seeing it in your mind's eye,

Knowing where it is,

Feeling that tie to it,

The presence of it.

And if it's in your practice,

You can go ahead and usher in the Reiki symbols,

Especially that distance symbol.

No rush here.

Letting yourself feel those symbols,

This intention,

Arrive.

More and more present.

Letting the world simplify,

It's just you and this plant.

But in this simplification,

There's unification.

And can you let yourself feel that?

Softening the mind,

The face,

The internal vision to be with this plant so fully.

And maybe your hands come out in front of you,

Maybe you just stay in the imagination and start to imagine that you are sending care to this plant in some way.

Maybe that looks like opening your heart to it and feeling that in your body.

Maybe it looks like imagining sending white light through your palms to the plant,

Encompassing the plant fully.

Maybe it looks like having some inner knowing that you are sending this to the plant and feeling that unification even deeper.

And you can stay here for a few minutes just experimenting with what that feels like.

If the visual ever changes,

If the sensation or emotion ever changes,

Just noticing,

Continuing to send care somehow,

Even if it's just imaginal.

And if you'd like to take it one step further,

You can start to ask.

Ask the plant what it needs or what it wants and just gently let an answer float in.

And then how can you send that plant,

That energy to whatever answer came up?

Even if it's just in your imagination,

Do that thing.

Share that thing with this plant.

Maybe you imagine yourself watering it or the sun coming out and shining gently on it or enriching the soil with nutrients.

Maybe you see all of these worms and bacteria bringing the soil underneath it back to life.

Just doing whatever that plant asked for in your mind.

Relaxing any muscles in the face that have tensed back up,

Continuing to breathe and be with this plant.

And taking a moment now to just thank the plant for sharing this space with you,

This world,

Sending it a little message that's personal to you.

And then coming back into your body and into your space nice and slowly,

First without needing to open the eyes,

Just sensing what's around you,

Your clothes,

The floor,

The walls.

And whenever you're ready to return to the day,

Gently blinking the eyes open.

Welcome back.
