Hello,
My name is Eden and today we are going to do a quick morning meditation tailored directly to folks who are pregnant.
So wherever you are,
Just go ahead and take any little gentle movements your body is asking for.
To get a little more comfy.
And then gently starting to settle in to stillness.
And in this stillness now,
Seeing how you can still make yourself just about 5% more comfy.
Just through finding a bit of spaciousness in the body,
Relaxing any tense little muscles.
Becoming a little more aware of what you need in this stillness.
And offering it to yourself.
And just opening here by really noticing your breath.
Turning your eyes inward to the breath.
Noticing where it wants to travel to where it naturally flows.
And where it's having a harder time reaching today.
Just noticing.
Without any layers of judgment being added to the breath.
Purely becoming aware.
Good.
And now we start to ask something new of the breath.
Right now starting to focus on Sending the breath into the ribcage.
Letting the ribs open and close,
Really focusing on that sensation in the body.
Can you let your breath become wider here?
Body grows wider,
Ribs open.
Filling up from side to side.
And perhaps you notice more space opening up down the side body.
Perhaps even into the armpits.
Perhaps the shoulders open slightly.
Perhaps you can notice breath moving lower into the hips.
Just allowing yourself to notice what this more pointed breath is offering your body this morning.
Focusing on the width of breath.
Good,
So good.
Now with this deeper awareness of the breath in the mid-body,
Starting to circle the breath now into that womb space.
With this beautiful being or beings.
Within you,
Sharing your space,
Your temple,
Your vessel.
Creating life.
And just starting to imagine now.
That your breath nourishes this space between you and baby.
Opening up the belly nice and gently without force.
Letting the womb space grow just slightly.
Letting the breath cushion baby,
Nourish your body.
Just by sending the breath into this liminal space.
For gentle expansion.
And again,
Just noticing what parts of this breath are easeful,
And which parts feel more difficult.
Just noticing,
Knowing that the noticing is enough here.
And then really circling back,
Checking your work,
Making sure that this breath is invited all the way down into the pelvis.
Underneath the belly,
Perhaps at that place where you can't quite see the belly anymore.
Making sure the breath can travel into the hips.
The hip flexors.
Sensing a bit of space just migrating down there too.
And taking a moment here to relax anywhere in the physical body now that has tensed back up.
Letting it go,
Wave of relaxation washes over you in these final,
Specific breaths.
Low,
Wide,
Open.
And making this next round of breath your best one yet,
Not through force,
But through pure openness,
Invitation,
Softening,
Allowing the breath.
Beautiful.
And with that exhale,
Gently letting the focus go.
Starting to move the physical body once more.
Ushering yourself back into this day,
This moment.
And whenever you're ready to welcome light back into the eyes,
You can blink the eyes open.
Welcome back.
Be well.
