Hello and welcome to this meditation with me Dr.
Jan Russell on keeping positive just for today.
Because let's face it,
Life is a day at a time.
I believe that keeping positive in life is a choice.
It doesn't mean that every single second of every single minute of every day can be wonderful and that there are never challenges.
It's not that at all.
Keeping positive is about finding ways to dynamically act for yourself,
With yourself,
So that you generate positivity in your life,
However large,
However small,
Just for today.
So close your eyes if you haven't already,
As we breathe deeply,
Relax profoundly and just enjoy the suggestions which I'm going to make to you here.
And imagine that you're walking a path,
The path of your life.
And as you look ahead at some point in the distance you can place the end of today,
Noticing where you want that to be.
What you want today to lead you to,
What state you would like to end the day in.
And imagine a day in which you move towards that end state with those emotions,
Those sensations,
Gracefully,
Enjoying the fullness of the air around you,
The breath within you,
Creating and allowing just for today positivity upon the journey.
And as you are walking along your path,
Your energy rising from the earth,
Drawing down from the sky,
May you experience a sense of joy,
A letting go,
Whether through bathing in the wonder of nature,
Whether in laughter filling your body and soul,
Whether just tingling with the energy of activity or just being present now.
And imagine that sometime,
Somehow in your day you encounter someone towards whom you feel moved to create an act of kindness,
Just like that.
Opening your channels to spontaneous acts of kindness,
Tuning in to what that means,
What others may seem to need,
What they might value and what you are able to give.
Opening your heart and soul ready to notice and receive kindness for yourself in unexpected ways.
And as you progress along your path,
May you find flow,
Allowing yourself to be enveloped by timelessness,
Immersed in the moment of being and doing.
Stepping your mind into a mode of appreciation for the little things,
The leaves on the trees,
The sun in the sky,
Your degree of comfort.
And I wonder if you could imagine that suddenly into your mind comes the presence or the memory of a person whose impact you are grateful for.
Feeling the depth of how their energy or wisdom has helped in some small way to shape you.
A person past or present for whom you might express your gratitude in your mind,
In person.
Maybe you might call them,
Reflect on them,
Write to them,
Visit them or just thank the heavens for their presence and all that you gained because of them.
And at the end of the day that you've created,
Make time for reflection,
Creating a channel to send and record your gratitude,
Like sending your vibes to the moon.
All the more ready to receive whatever energy and flow might come your way from the tide that is tomorrow.
And tomorrow maybe you can reflect on yesterday's gratitude,
Last weeks,
Last years,
Yesterday's kindnesses given and received,
Creating your mantle of positivity just for another day.
And maybe,
Just maybe each and every day.
And allow yourself now to be aware of the air around you.
Maybe open your eyes,
Maybe stay very relaxed,
Maybe you want to write something down,
Maybe you want to stretch,
Whatever works for you.
Take your ability to keep positive just for today and make your choice about how you move forward in the world.
