Hello and welcome to this set of affirmations with me Dr.
Jan Russell.
Today's affirmations are about aging with courage.
A wise woman said to me recently after listening to the meditation on the woman in the mirror,
This was fantastic.
I knew it.
I just needed to affirm it.
And this is so right isn't it?
I believe that you have within you all the resources that you need.
The strengths,
The knowledge,
The creativity,
The intent to live into your crone hood,
Your third age,
Your older age in a fulfilling way.
The ritual of an affirmation practice simply reminds you to tap into all that is within.
It works because you repeat good messages to yourself.
You're taking time to honour yourself,
Give yourself permission to release your resources and shift them to your conscious mind while continuing to embed them in your unconscious mind.
Meditating on affirmations on a daily basis will change your neural pathways,
Creating a route to the aging process that you would like to have.
So today,
Let's affirm your ability to age with courage.
So many women fear aging,
Yet there is nothing to fear except for that fear itself.
So reducing your fear level,
Finding your courage,
Moving through fear,
All of these are within your gift.
So double check that you're in the bodily frame that you would like to have before you participate in these 21 simple affirmations.
Pay attention to your physiology.
Opening your heart,
Opening your chest.
Relax your shoulders.
Relax your neck.
Allowing your voice to flow freely,
Whether you choose to speak out loud or whether you prefer to channel your words inside yourself.
In either case,
Allow yourself to create a rhythm so that you can breathe in freely and release the affirmation on your out-breath.
And now that you're fully comfortable,
We'll begin.
Repeat each affirmation in the space after me.
I know courage however it shows up.
I dare to co-author my future.
There is no one right way to get older.
Sometimes it's courageous to keep my head down.
Sometimes it's courageous to shout from the rooftops.
I have taken many courageous steps.
I want to show up for my future.
I can step out of my comfort zone and I can step back in.
I respect the natural state of fear.
I can listen to fear,
Evaluate it and move through.
I have the courage to believe in myself.
I have the courage to act for myself.
I have the courage to accept that which I cannot change.
I can be bold whenever I want to.
When I'm older still,
I will look back at now sending messages of confidence.
I am brave enough to live joyfully with not knowing.
I have the courage to honour myself.
I am bold enough to be genuine and authentic.
I am here and that took some courage.
I am brave enough to say yes and I am brave enough to say no.
Some days need more courage than others and they too do pass.
Other people's judgements are their business,
Not mine.
I choose to have the courage of my own convictions.
So you can repeat these affirmations as often as you wish.
We know that beliefs are made of thoughts and a thought can be changed.
Through repetitive thoughts you can create new beliefs,
The ones that you want.
We also know that daily meditative practice brings many benefits.
So you might choose to make affirmations a part of that daily practice.
The choice is yours.
May you continue to create the future that you want boldly with courage.
Go well.
You're worth it.
Enjoy.
