Chakras, or energy wheels, connect to specific areas of the physical body, energy body, and emotional body. By paying attention to each one we can help shed light on areas that may be out of balance - such as related relationships, thoughts or beliefs. Our Throat Chakra correlates physically to the throat space - emotionally housing our connection to our serlves, and is also our centre of communication. Do we have clarity in speech, thoughts and actions? Are we being kind to ourselves?

Welcome back to my seven day chakra meditation series.

Day five,

The throat chakra,

Vishuddha chakra.

As always,

Let's begin by making our way into a comfortable seated position.

Rest your hands comfortably on the knees or the thighs.

Lengthening up through the spine.

Finding more space.

But keeping that sense of rooting down through the hips,

Through the sit bones,

Into the earth.

See if you can soften a little more through the face,

Through the jaw.

Softening the throat.

Relaxing the shoulders,

The belly,

Even the breath.

Beginning to really notice the breath now,

Feeling the air traveling in and out.

Feeling how you just let the breath breathe the body without having to try to fix or control or change anything.

Bringing our attention to the center of the throat to the throat chakra.

This beautiful passage of energy between the lower parts of the body into the head.

Our center of expression and communication,

Both outward and in.

By focusing on this space,

On this chakra,

We invite clarity of speech,

Of expression and communication.

We invite purity of speech,

Of communication.

We pay attention to the thoughts,

The words,

The actions that we give out to others and to ourselves.

Are we kind in speech and communication to others?

Are we kind in speech and communication to ourselves?

Perhaps imagining a nice aquamarine or a blue turquoise color at the center of the throat.

Swirling and glowing to activate that space.

Perhaps repeating a few affirmations to yourself.

I speak with clarity.

I speak from a place of love.

I speak kind,

True and only necessary words to others and to myself.
