To begin the process of at surejo,
Please ensure that you're sitting comfortably and we will begin by clearing the mind.
Choose a point of focus,
Whether that is your breath or a candle flame,
An image that you find beautiful or a chant or mantra and spend a few moments now setting an intention to place your focus solely on the chosen item with the intention of clearing your mind.
Setting down any thoughts,
Any to do list,
Any concerns,
Set them to the side for the moment,
For this is your time.
So take a moment to focus your mind.
.
.
You Make sure that you're sitting comfortably and that your back is straight,
That you have uncrossed your arms and legs unless sitting in lotus position.
Just take a note of your body and scan through it with the intention that the energy may flow smoothly through your energy system.
Roll your shoulders if you need to and just allow your head to come into a comfortable but neutral position,
Perhaps tucking your chin in slightly to open up the back of your neck.
Just relaxing your shoulders,
Relaxing your jaw and taking a deep breath as we practice Mukuna now to set the intention.
Now I begin Hatsure-e-ho.
Take a moment to complete your dry bathing practice.
Sweeping your arm across your body from your left shoulder to your right hip with the intention of removing any energy that does not belong there.
Repeat the process on the other side from your right shoulder to your left hip.
Then back again to the original position of your left shoulder to right hip.
Sweep down your arms now from shoulder to hand.
Doing each arm and then returning to the original arm.
Take another deep breath.
Raise your hands now above your head as if holding a giant ball of energy.
Allow yourself to feel the ball of Reiki energy between your hands as you turn your palms towards your body and slowly lower them,
Giving yourself a beautiful Reiki shower.
Just gently then lower your hands into your lap and allow them to rest easily in your lap,
Palms facing upwards.
Move into the process of Joshin Kokyu-ho and the breathing practice.
With each in-breath,
Breathe Reiki in through your crown,
Down through your energy system into your Hara at your lower abdomen.
Pause on the turn of the breath and just become aware of the Reiki energy filling up your body.
With your out-breath,
See the Reiki energy filling up your body like a big bubble of Reiki healing energy,
Love,
Light,
Positivity.
Just repeat the process now,
Breathing in Reiki through the crown,
Down into the Hara.
Pausing for a moment to fill the body up with Reiki.
Breathing out through the mouth,
Imagining that the Reiki energy is moving out through your hands and your feet and your mouth,
Creating a bubble of energy all around you.
Just sit with this breathing practice for a few moments.
Pause on the turn of the breath and just be aware of the Reiki energy filling up your body.
Pause on the turn of the breath and just be aware of the Reiki energy filling up your body.
Pause on the turn of the breath and just be aware of the Reiki energy filling up your body.
Bringing your hands now into the Gash-ho position at your heart.
Focusing your attention on the sensation of your hands touching,
Particularly where your middle fingers touch.
Allow your focus to rest here as you continue to breathe.
At this point you may also wish to recite the principles to yourself.
Just for today,
I release anger.
Just for today,
I release worry.
Just for today,
I am filled with gratitude.
Just for today,
I work with integrity and work hard on myself.
And just for today,
I am kind and compassionate to all living things including myself.
Take some time to focus on either the principles or perhaps the Reiki symbols.
You may choose to focus on Shokurei or Se-hei-ki or Hon-sha-sei-shonan.
You may even decide to focus on the Master Symbol if you wish.
Pause on the turn of the breath and just be aware of the Reiki energy filling up your body.
Pause on the turn of the breath and just be aware of the Reiki energy filling up your body.
Pause on the turn of the breath and just be aware of the Reiki energy filling up your body.
Keeping your hands in the Gassho position,
You may lower them to your lower abdomen.
Keep your intention now that with each breath you draw the Reiki energy in through your hands and down into your Hara.
And with your out breath,
The energy moves from the Hara out through your hands.
Breathing in and out through your hands.
Allow this visualization to take place in a way that's natural for you.
Pause on the turn of the breath and just be aware of the Reiki energy filling up your body.
Pause on the turn of the breath and just be aware of the Reiki energy filling up your body.
Pause on the turn of the breath and just be aware of the Reiki energy filling up your body.
And we will now bring Hatsure Ho to a close.
By setting our intention to end,
I am finished with Hatsure Ho now.
Gently shake out your hands.
Give your whole body a bit of a shake and a stretch.
And in your own time and when you feel ready,
Open your eyes and notice how invigorated and full of energy that you feel after this Reiki practice.
Pause on the turn of the breath and just be aware of the Reiki energy filling up your body.
Pause on the turn of the breath and just be aware of the Reiki energy filling up your body.
