Welcome to this pause in your day,
A time of self-care,
A time of gentleness,
A time of just letting it all go,
Just for now.
Make sure that your body is really comfortable and let your body be held,
Completely releasing the weight.
And let your breath slow right down,
Taking a few very slow,
Very deep,
Releasing breaths,
Like you have all the time in the world to really enjoy,
To drink in,
And to savour every drop of breath.
See if you can let the breath flow with ease,
Just a light touch of effort,
Breath flowing deep into your belly,
Wide into your chest,
And let the exhalation go with a long and soft sigh,
Going at your own pace,
And taking a few of these slow and deep breaths.
No rush,
No hurry,
Your body softening with every exhalation.
And now let your breath be natural,
No controlling,
Simply breathing by itself,
No effort required,
Just breath coming in and breath going out by itself.
Welcome the feeling of your body,
The weight,
The contact with the chair,
Tongue resting in the mouth,
Face softening,
Jaws loosening,
Eyes resting back,
The feeling behind eyes softening open,
Brain releasing its weight,
Shoulders sinking down,
Hips resting open,
Legs releasing and letting go.
Your mind may wander,
But let that be okay.
No judgement,
Just wandering mind.
Leave thought alone,
Just for now.
And now.
And now.
Right now.
Absolutely nothing is being asked of you.
Nothing to do,
Nowhere to go,
Nothing to get,
Nothing to control or manage right now.
Nothing to remember,
Nothing to plan,
No story to maintain,
No image to uphold,
Nothing to understand or figure out,
Just for now,
Letting it all go.
And really feel the relief of not having to be anything,
Not even having to be anyone.
Just being here is enough.
Just being.
Just being.
Checking in with your body.
I'm inviting your body to soften even more.
Feel the aliveness.
And let your body take a few more of those slow,
Deep,
Releasing breaths.
Enjoying and savouring every drop of that life-giving breath.
Breath flowing with ease,
Deep down into your belly,
Wide into your chest,
And exhaling with a long and soft sigh.
Be moving and stretching when it's ready.
And as you transition now back to your day,
Go easy on yourself,
Staying anchored in your ground of being and trusting that all is well.
Thank you for joining me for this meditation.
