Psalm 46:10 tells us to be still and know that He is God. Why is this so difficult, and what do we find in the stillness? In a world where we are so busy, it is important to slow down. Our peace is connected to it.

Try and find a comfortable position.

It's whatever relaxing position you feel,

No pain and comfortable is appropriate.

And take your time to find your space.

If you can,

Get comfortable,

Make sure that your palms are not tightened,

Relax your shoulders,

And relax your jaw and your neck.

And take a moment and breathe deeply through your nose and exhale out your mouth.

Now think and appreciate and acknowledge the power of just being present in this moment.

And let's work our way to stillness.

Psalms 46 begins by telling us that God is our refuge and strength,

A very present help in trouble.

Therefore,

We will not fear,

Even though the earth be removed,

And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea,

Though its waters roar and be troubled,

Though the mountains shake with its swelling.

Salah.

There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God,

The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.

God is in the midst of her.

She shall not be moved.

God shall help her just at the break of dawn.

The nations raged,

The kingdoms were moved.

He uttered his voice,

The earth melted.

The Lord of Host is with us.

The God of Jacob is our refuge.

Salah.

Come and behold the works of the Lord,

Who has made desolations in the earth.

He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth.

He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two.

He burns the chariot in the fire.

Be still and know that I am God.

I will be exalted among the nations.

I will be exalted in the earth.

The Lord of Host is with us,

And the God of Jacob is our refuge.

Salah.

What is the reason that you forget the importance of stillness and knowing that God has every situation that could possibly come up in your life covered?

Why do we sometimes forget?

Try to reset that thought and start again from scratch,

Knowing that he is God,

Knowing that the God of refuge is with you.

Enjoy this moment and in a complete moment of freedom.

Let your mind become lighter.

Let all negative thoughts float away.

And get ready to nourish yourself with this comfortable stillness,

Knowing that God is leading the way and we simply have to follow.

Use this moment as a grounding moment,

Keeping in mind that he is with you and he is in you.

What we have is the perfect combination for handling or winning any situation that comes up.

When our hearts beat faster,

We can reground ourselves in this knowledge and in his love.

Take a long deep breath in and a long deep breath out.

Listen to the sound of your breathing in every breath,

Knowing that we can breathe in Jesus and breathe out worry.

Breathing in Jesus,

Breathing out worry.

Inhale and smile quietly to yourself and practice that knowing,

Knowing that God is right there with you.

Touch him and know that this is not a race and life isn't a sprint,

But that it's a journey and that we have to stay connected with him to have that peace that he promises.

Take another deep breath with a sigh.

And when you're ready,

Gently open your eyes and give God praise for this moment.

Go in peace.

I have been stressing lately and could not find my connection to let it go. Until I listened to this meditation all the peace and grace flooded back. I’ve written down “if we want to feel the peace God offers us, we just have to connect back to all solutions we know he always provides.” I have a renewed sense of trust today. Thank you dear one!
