Find a comfortable seat.

This could be on the floor,

In a chair,

Or even laying in a bed.

For this meditation,

It's important to feel connected and solid in your space.

So if you're sitting in a chair,

Plant your feet flat on the floor or the ground.

Sit in a way that you feel firmly supported underneath you.

Once you're comfortable in your seat,

Sit up tall or stretch out if you're laying,

And close your eyes.

Seal your lips together and breathe gently,

Quietly,

And slowly in and out through your nose.

With every breath,

Exhale,

Allowing the weight of your body to release further down towards whatever is supporting you.

With every inhale breath,

Notice the uplifting wind that energizes and lengthens your spine,

Making you a little bit taller or a little bit longer.

With each exhale breath,

Release your shoulders,

Hips,

And legs towards that thing that is supporting you.

And with each inhale breath,

Feel a gentle lightness and a gentle upward lifting.

Rest here for a moment,

Finding that balance between these two breaths.

With a grounding exhale and an upward lifting inhale.

Isaiah 26 verses 3 and 4 say,

Trust ye in the Lord forever,

For the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength.

What is this peace that we're seeking?

This peace is shalom,

Safe,

Well,

Happy,

Friendly,

And favorable,

Prosperous,

Welfare,

And health.

This is the peace that God has designed and assigned for us.

He will keep us here as we focus on him.

The word stayed actually means to be propped or reflexively leaning,

Established on,

Rested,

And lying hard on and sustained,

The same way your body is sustained and liething hard on that supported surface.

Imagine taking all of our cares and worries and resting them simply on Jesus.

Take your attention more towards the exhale breath now and let each exhale breath take a little more time than each breath in.

Lengthen and extend your exhales.

Gently and comfortably without trying too hard.

In your next exhale breath,

Let your weight go.

Notice all the points of your body which are touching down or connecting below you.

Think and meditate for a moment,

Exhaling all of your thoughts,

Concerns,

Worries,

And anxieties and stress from your body.

Exhaling your thoughts and your ways and inhaling your mind on him.

Inhaling more and more of Jesus.

Casting all your cares upon him for he careth for you.

Gently release the weight of the soles of your feet,

Your ankles and shins,

Your hips,

And the backsides of your thighs.

With every exhale breath further connect to God by releasing that energy to him.

Imagining that each of these connecting points expands just a little or widens slowly.

And if any time you feel that you're melting down too much,

Just remember the goodness of Jesus on each inhaling breath.

Rest here,

Aware of his presence in your life and how he will never leave or forsake you.

Exhaling more and more of Jesus.

Thou will keep him in perfect peace,

Whose mind has stayed on thee because he trusteth in thee.

Trust ye in the Lord forever.

For in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength.

Go in peace.
