Good morning and welcome to the artist morning.
My name is Darius and today's meditation practice is specifically for those of us who spend a lot of time giving,
Caring,
Looking after others.
Maybe you are a parent,
Maybe you are a partner,
Maybe you have a business or a project or a passion,
Maybe you're just a generous human who cares for everything.
If nobody has told you in a while that they are grateful for you and your giant heart,
I'd like to do so now.
Thank you for caring so much.
Thank you for all that you do.
If you are open to it,
For this meditation,
You can put all that on pause so that we can care for you.
I promise you can go back to caring for everybody else after this meditation.
But for now,
Let's take a deep breath together and begin our self-care,
Self-love practice.
Breathing in and letting it all go.
Your eyes are open.
Let's close them now.
You're going to slowly come closer to our own hearts,
To our own energy.
I imagine for some of you the idea of temporarily stopping the care,
The responsibility you have for these other people,
These other projects in your life might be met with resistance.
If you're a parent,
You are so used to caring for others.
I love you in your giant heart.
I love you in your giant heart.
And if you're open to it,
Open to it,
Let's spend a few minutes bringing all the attention on you,
Just you.
Let's take a deep breath together.
Hold at the top and slowly let it all go.
Come in closer to your heart,
Even if it's one centimeter,
One inch,
It's progress.
A gentle calm to work its way through your body.
It's subtle,
But it's effective.
This calming energy spreading to the edges of your body from the top of your head,
The bottom of your feet,
Edges of your fingertips on each side,
Gently calming,
Relaxing,
Soothing you.
Whatever it is,
Whatever it is that you are caring for,
That you are looking after,
I want you to know they are still here.
And I want you to imagine them in a golden light,
Laughing,
Thriving.
And I want you to know you can come back to them later.
They are okay.
This moment,
I want you to go deeper into your heart,
Deeper into your heart,
Deeper into your beautiful giant heart.
There.
Did you see that?
Look again inside your heart.
Did you feel that?
There is a beautiful sun,
Giant light source inside your heart with infinite warmth.
Maybe it's a little speck.
Maybe it's larger for you,
But it's there.
Going to invite this warm golden sun from inside you to spread,
To recharge,
Regenerate,
To charge your batteries.
We're going to amplify it by imagining there is a golden ray of light from above your head,
And it's falling down onto your head,
Your crown.
It's working its way down and it hits this other light source inside your heart and it amplifies.
Your entire body is feeling the warmth,
Regeneration from these two light sources.
Even if you are fully resistant,
Your batteries are being charged.
Even if you can't feel the warmth,
Your batteries are being charged here,
Just like a cell phone being charged.
Sometimes there is no sound,
There are no visuals.
That phone can resist all at once.
That power source is giving it energy.
The universe is giving you energy here,
Healing,
Regenerating energy.
We have one song left this morning.
I'm going to stay mostly quiet for this song and allow any part of you that is in need of some love,
In need of some recharging,
Regenerating.
If you're open,
The universe is here.
Your heart is here to give you exactly that.
Well done,
Dear artist.
Let's take a breath together to bring our meditation to an end.
Breathing in and gently letting it all go.
For those of us joining live at the artist morning,
I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock and give us some space and time to do some private personal journaling.
If you're catching us on a replay,
Perhaps on insight timer,
Of course,
You can do the same.
Thank you so much for meditating with me and thank you so much for your big gigantic heart.
I know there's many things you do and many ways in which you care that maybe nobody gives you credit for.
So thank you.
My name is Darius and I'll see you next time.
