Good morning,
And welcome to the Artist Morning Writers Club.
My name's Darius,
And this is a short guided meditation made specifically for new and emerging writers.
Let's begin,
If your eyes are open,
I'd like to invite you to close them now.
Starting to take deeper,
Longer breaths,
Moving from our head space,
Down,
Down,
Down into our heart space,
Softening your forehead,
Your jaw,
Dropping your shoulders,
And doing your best to keep your heart open.
It's not always easy to keep our heart open,
It's very natural to want to guard or protect our hearts,
And to be an artist,
To be a creator,
To be a writer,
It is essential to find a way to keep our hearts as open as possible.
It takes courage,
It takes groundedness,
It takes permission,
Self-permission to get it wrong,
To make mistakes,
To experiment and play,
To be a beginner,
To look silly,
Because everyone looks silly in the beginning.
Checking in now,
Just to see the openness of your heart this morning,
Taking a few deep breaths into your heart space,
If you'd like,
You can put one or two hands on your heart,
Just check in here with your heart,
Hello dear heart,
I feel you,
I hear you,
I am here with you,
You dear heart are allowed to go slow,
You're allowed to feel big feelings,
I've got your back,
And I know you've got mine,
Take a nice deep breath into your heart,
If you're open to it,
Send the energetic frequency and resonance of love and gratitude to your heart,
I love you dear heart,
I love you dear heart,
I'm not exactly sure how other occupations handle feelings,
But I know having the ability to allow,
To hold,
To feel all of your feelings is a superpower as a writer,
All your feelings have the ability to be alchemized into something beautiful,
This is our last song this morning and I just want to hold a little space for you and your heart to feel whatever is there,
Maybe it's joy and excitement,
Maybe it's sadness and grief,
Maybe it's something completely different,
Let's practice allowing our heart to be true and free,
Bravo dear artist,
Bravo dear writer,
You made it to the end of this meditation and for that I am so grateful,
Hopefully you and your heart got some quality time,
Hopefully your heart was able to remember that it is safe to take up more space in this world,
For those joining us live at the Artist Morning Writers Club,
I'm going to put 66 minutes on the clock and share a writing exercise,
An optional writing exercise to help us dive into today's writing,
Of course if you're catching us on a replay you can do the same as well,
Put some time on your clock and see what's here and ready to be expressed through you,
Thank you once again for meditating with me,
My name is Darius and I will see you next time.
