Good morning and welcome to the Artist's Morning.
My name's Darius and I'm so grateful that you and I get this time together.
Our practice today is on the theme of peace and calm.
If you are open to it,
I will guide us through a gentle visualization that will give you an opportunity to rest,
To replenish,
To recharge.
Let's begin our practice.
If your eyes are open,
I'd like to invite you to gently close them now as we go inwards together,
Beginning to take deeper breaths,
Slow,
Longer inhales all the way down to the belly,
Making some noise with your exhales,
Just signaling to your mind,
Body,
And spirit that you are safe here,
You're allowed to take up space,
Your voice is welcome here,
And there's nothing you need to do here,
There's nothing you need to do here,
And notice if there's a place in your body you are holding,
You are bracing,
A place with tension,
All you need to do is soften,
Breathe into those places and soften,
Soften,
Letting go of any tension,
Any holding,
Any energy that we no longer need,
Just letting it go with our exhales.
You to imagine on this beautiful day we happen to find ourselves by the edge of a water,
It's a calm,
Tranquil lake water,
And there is a dock that leads up to the edge of the water,
And as we walk down the dock you see a beautiful seated area with cushions and blankets,
And this will be our meditation seat today,
Take a moment to find your seats and notice how comfortable this seat is,
It's as if the cushions and the pillows and the blankets were made specifically for your body,
And as you sit down you look out at the lake water,
And it's so incredibly calm and peaceful,
It's early morning,
The weather is perfect,
Exactly the way you like it,
You can hear the birds across the water,
It seems as if everybody else is asleep,
Taking in the sound,
Feeling the wind against your skin,
The soft warm wind,
And if you pay special attention you will notice a gentle vibration in your body,
It's subtle,
It's calm,
It's soothing,
It's as if the water,
The air,
The sun,
The wind are gently recharging yourselves,
And as you close your eyes and take a few deep breaths in this beautiful seat by the water,
You can feel the joy in your body,
Your body is at peace,
Your body is resting,
Recharging,
Replenishing,
And I want to invite you to take a few deep breaths with big sighs on the exhale,
Let's do a couple together,
Breathing in,
Soak in all the goodness of this space,
Big exhale out,
Another deep breath in,
Big exhale out,
Ahhh,
Your body is resting,
Much deserved rest,
Your body is healing,
This magical place is so soothing,
As you take deep breaths in and take in all the wonder,
All the beauty in this space,
There's a deep pleasure that's accessible here,
Almost a blissful experience,
Just soaking it in,
Bravo to your artist,
What a wonderful blessing to slow down,
To rest,
To allow mother nature in all her wisdom,
To give us the medicine our minds,
Bodies,
And souls so deeply need,
Thank you mother nature,
Thank you sun,
Thank you wind,
Thank you water,
Thank you birds,
Thank you trees,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Everywhere we look,
Abundance,
Beauty,
Take a moment here,
To zoom out,
And see all the blessings,
That are already here,
Now in your life,
And calm into our day,
Inviting in joy and pleasure,
Allow them to flow through your body,
Deep breath in,
Big exhale out,
This is our last song this morning,
I'm going to sit back and be quiet,
And allow all the amazing sensations,
And feelings,
And vibrations,
That are already alive in your body,
To dance,
To play,
To sparkle,
To vibrate,
To soothe,
To calm,
To inspire you,
What a gift to be alive,
What a blessing,
What a privilege to be alive today,
All those sensations,
All those vibrations inside us,
Thank you dear artist for going on this journey with me,
