Good morning and welcome to the artist morning.
My name is Darius and I am so grateful to have this time together with you and me and us this morning.
Today's meditation will be an exploration of the concept of leaving behind a winter.
Leaving behind the darkness,
The cold,
Both literally and figuratively of a fairly unique winter in the history of the human species.
It's easy to forget how new and fresh every day and every season can be.
It's easy to carry along with us beliefs,
Stories,
Emotions,
Baggage of any sort that maybe we needed at some time.
Maybe you needed your winter jacket,
But you see dear artist,
It's spring,
It's summer,
Winter is over.
So today's meditation,
We will lovingly,
Compassionately let go of anything that we do not need to bring with us into this beautiful new start.
I will guide you the whole way so don't overthink,
Don't worry yourself with what to let go,
When to let go.
I'm here for you.
For now,
Let's just ground our energy.
If your eyes are open,
I invite you to close them now as we begin to go inwards together.
Just giving yourself a moment to land in your seat,
In your body,
In your new morning.
I invite you to take big deep breaths throughout this meditation.
Slowly opening your lungs and your heart space to new energy,
New breath,
New opportunity.
Taking a nice deep breath now and letting it all go.
Breathing into your belly again,
Holding for just a moment and imagining anything inside you that is ready to be let go,
Leaving your body with your exhale.
Only breathing on your own,
Imagining each inhale bringing in fresh spring energy into your system that renews,
Refreshes,
Resets all of you.
Each exhale imagining any heavy energy,
Any baggage,
Any stories,
Anything that does not belong in a beautiful spring.
I invite you to let go of it.
Take it off,
Shed it.
Winter is over.
Come on!
We have all been through a lot this past year and this past winter.
But winter is over.
Really take in that concept,
That idea.
It's very simple but very powerful.
Winter is over.
It's very easy for us to take in energy,
To take in programming and beliefs from the world,
From our society,
From ourselves.
I want our meditation today to give you permission to let it go.
There are things you want to continue believing in.
You can do so.
But before you decide to layer things on,
I just want to give you a little bit of space to start fresh.
What would it be like if we lovingly stripped it away and allowed you to decide what you will bring back,
Which beliefs still make sense,
Which identity you want to fuel,
You want to feed,
You want to expand.
I want you to imagine there is a doorway in front of you.
I want you to imagine the door is closed but you can see that there is a glorious light on the other side of this door.
A new day,
A new season,
A new opportunity for you to build the life of your dreams.
I invite you to step closer to this door now.
Remember we are playing here,
Dear artists.
We are creating in the energy of curiosity,
Of fun,
Of joy,
And of sacredness because you and your life are sacred.
If you feel ready,
If you feel called,
If you are curious,
I invite you to place your hand on that door,
On the doorknob,
And open the door to see what's on the other side.
If you have chosen to step through this door,
If you have chosen to leave winter behind you,
If you have chosen to step into the light,
Dear artist,
What is on this other side for you?
There are no right or wrong answers.
I invite you to play.
I invite you to explore.
I invite you to let go of expectations,
Give yourself permission to feel,
To be,
And to love.
I'll stay quiet for the rest of this meditation and let you explore.
Slowly,
Coming back,
Coming back to your seat.
Coming back to your body.
Being gentle as we return.
Wherever you went,
Whatever you felt or did not feel,
I am so honored to have been able to meditate with you this morning.
As always,
I will add 15 minutes on the clock for those of you joining us live at the artist's morning for some private,
Personal journaling.
If you are catching us on a replay,
You can do the same,
But 15 minutes on your own clock and just see what's here,
What's ready to express through you,
Through your hands,
Onto the paper,
Through your heart,
Through your voice.
Thank you for meditating with me.
My name is Darius and we will see you next time.
