Good morning and welcome to the artist's morning.
My name is Darius and this is a 20-minute guided meditation intended to help you start your morning in your day feeling more grounded,
More connected,
And more tapped in to your higher self.
The theme of today's meditation will be releasing,
Letting go of any energy,
Any story,
Anything that is no longer serving you in this moment.
If your eyes are open,
I invite you to close them now as we begin to go inwards together,
Just starting to feel what's alive within us this morning.
Taking a nice easy breath into your belly.
And just feeling,
Feeling your body in this seat.
Scanning from the top of your head down to your feet.
Noticing if there's any places that maybe you are holding some tension from the night before,
From this week,
From this year.
And if you are able to access 1% more comfort and ease,
I invite you to do that now.
Maybe just sinking into your seat a little more.
Taking a deep breath and just releasing with a sigh.
Just starting to let go,
Let go of any stagnant energy inside you.
Dropping your shoulders,
Softening your forehead,
Your jaw,
And just letting any energy in your head and shoulders just melt away.
And if your mind begins to race,
Don't fight it.
Minds do that sometimes,
Especially creative ones.
Just watch and observe.
And if you'd like to bring your energy back inside and away from your thoughts,
Try the mantra,
Thinking,
Thinking,
Thinking.
Breathing,
Breathing,
Breathing.
Following your breath as it hits the tips of your lips,
Your tongue,
Your throat.
Noticing all the places the oxygen touches on its way down into your lungs,
Into your belly,
Into your heart.
Breathing,
Breathing,
Breathing.
I want you to imagine you are walking.
Somewhere quiet,
Somewhere peaceful.
You decide where.
One step at a time moving forward.
No need to try too hard,
It's just walking.
And as you move forward,
Sometimes there are things that latch on to us that we allow to latch on to us that try to hold us back and slow us down.
Expectations perhaps by our families,
Our society,
Our culture,
And expectations we place on ourselves.
And as you imagine yourself walking on this beautiful morning,
Noticing something is holding you back.
And there's no need to fight it or to run or to be afraid of looking back to see what's holding on to you,
Almost like a leash tethered to you.
Is there someone,
Something,
Some energy,
Some moment that you can sense here that is holding you back?
There's no right or wrong way of doing this.
Don't think too hard.
There's nothing serious happening here,
Dear artist.
We are just playing.
And whatever might have come up for you,
An energy that was holding you back,
I invite you now to play with the mantra,
Bless and release.
I bless and release you.
Imagining that energy,
Perhaps it's someone's face,
Perhaps it's a moment in your life,
Perhaps it's someone you believe you need to compete against,
Perhaps it's a version of yourself that you are competing against,
Or maybe a past relationship of any sort.
Hold that energy in your mind,
In your heart,
And share the mantra.
I bless and release you.
And just feel what it's like as that tether is released from your body and you are able to step forward,
Feeling lighter.
I bless and release you now.
Taking a deep breath as you say the mantra,
And as you say release,
Exhaling any energy inside you that is ready to be released.
I bless and release you now.
Just taking a moment to feel what that's like in your body.
What does it feel like to be 1% lighter,
1% more the real you,
Your highest self,
And maybe for you it's more than 1% and maybe it's less.
For this last few minutes I'm gonna stay quiet and have you just feel your heart,
Your body,
And get curious about what it would be like to be 1% lighter,
To feel 1% more like your highest self.
I bless and release you now.
Just take a moment to feel what that's like in your body.
What does it feel like to be 1% lighter,
1% more the real you,
Your highest self,
And maybe for you it's more than 1% and maybe for you it's less.
Bravo dear artist,
Bravo dear creator.
Wherever you went,
Whatever you felt or did not feel,
I honor and respect you for carving out some time for yourself this morning.
As always I'll put 15 minutes on the clock and allow you to do some private personal journaling for those of you that are joining us live at the Artist's Morning.
If you're catching us on a replay,
You can do the same.
Put 15 minutes on your own clock and just feel what's here.
Feel what's accessible to you this morning and let that express through your pen and paper.
Thank you so much for meditating with me this morning.
My name is Darius and we will see you next time.
