Good morning and welcome to The Artist's Morning.
My name is Darius and our practice today is intended to help you come into focus,
Presence,
And to become a magnet to your dreams.
If your eyes are open I'd like to invite you to close them now as we go inwards together.
Give yourself a moment to arrive here in your seat,
In your body,
And just for a moment let's practice doing nothing.
Allowing your body to fall into whatever position,
Allowing your breath to be natural,
And if there's any tension in your shoulders,
In your back,
In your forehead,
We're just gonna let them melt away.
Let's take a deep breath holding at the top of our breath,
Bringing our shoulders up with the inhale,
Squeezing,
Squeezing,
Squeezing,
And on the exhale we're gonna drop our shoulders and just let any unneeded tension and energy just drop away.
Let's take a deep breath in,
Shoulders up,
Squeezing,
Squeezing your shoulders,
Holding at the top of your breath.
Take a few more sips of breath here and getting ready to exhale and let it all go now.
Continue taking deep breaths on your own,
Slow,
Deep,
Intentional breaths,
Allowing the rising and falling of your chest to bring you into more ease,
More calm.
It's almost hypnotic,
Our breath.
In and out,
In and out,
And if you have an intention for our meditation today,
It can be really,
Really simple.
It can be one word.
It could be peace,
Love,
Calm,
Joy,
Presence.
Find your one-word intention and seed it in your heart now.
This next part of our meditation will be a guided visualization.
Many people,
Scientists,
Spiritual leaders,
Many,
Many people believe this universe is an infinite universe.
That concept is very difficult to understand because it means there are infinite possibilities,
Infinite versions of you.
For our practice today,
I want us to playfully,
With ease and joy,
Imagine a version of us that has achieved so many of your dreams.
Don't overthink this.
I promise you can come back to this meditation anytime and add new elements here,
But there's a version of you who has the relationships,
Has the health,
The body,
The job,
The home,
The finances,
The confidence that you dream of.
This version of you just happens to be joining us this morning,
A hundred feet in front of you.
This version,
Let's call them future you,
Is standing right there.
Take a moment to see them,
Look at what their body looks like,
Look who's standing next to them and behind them.
You can see their home,
All the possibilities right in front of you.
Let's take a deep breath and breathe this version in.
We are playing here,
Don't overthink.
Future you standing right there.
Now remember this is a focus meditation.
As you focus on future you,
They step closer and you can feel their energy in your body more and more.
Continue looking straight ahead and step by step.
They get closer and closer to you and the closer they get,
The more you feel them alive in your body.
Can you feel their confidence?
Can you feel their joy?
Can you feel how money and wealth finds them no matter what?
Can you feel the deep meaningful relationships they have with family and friends?
Step by step as you continue focusing on future you,
They move forward and forward and forward.
You start to maybe feel tingles in your body.
They are transmitting something to you.
Your cells are changing.
Your thinking is changing.
Your breathing is changing.
The way you are sitting is changing.
If and only if you are open to future you blessing your life right now.
Are you open to receiving their gifts?
Future you is now about 20 steps away from you.
They all of a sudden stop moving forward.
What happens now is up to you.
You have many options available to you.
If you look to your left,
There are an infinite amount of distractions.
Emails,
Social media,
Netflix,
An infinite amount of things to distract you from your true potential.
The more you look to the left,
The less you can feel the energy of future you.
If you look to the right,
There is an infinite amount of excuses,
Fears,
Insecurities,
Doubts.
Now remember,
This is a practice.
This is a safe place for us to get better at dreaming.
You choose.
Do you look to the left and distract yourself?
Do you look to the right and fall into excuses and fear?
Or do you choose to look straight ahead and focus on your dreams?
Future you has come 20 feet away.
If you choose to believe in yourself,
If you choose to trust in yourself,
If you choose to allow the universe to bless you,
All you need to do is keep your eyes focused on future you and slowly begin to step forward.
Dreams take practice when we practice dreaming and we bring our dreams to reality.
We often call that manifesting.
Manifesting is not passive hoping.
Manifesting requires action.
Are you willing to focus and step forward into your dreams?

Maybe future you was crystal clear.
Maybe it was really hard to see and you were very distracted looking to the left or looking to the right.
That's the point of this meditation.
It's a practice.
Dreaming is a skill.
It requires training and practice.
Maybe this was your first day in a long time practicing dreaming.
So please be gentle,
Be kind with yourself,
Be supportive of yourself.
