Okay,
My friends,
Let's do a short practice together.
I want you to find a comfortable place to rest your body,
And that might be in a seat or laying down.
It might be resting your back against a wall or covering it up with blankets on the floor.
But wherever you land,
Let's try to give access to the heart space.
And when you arrive,
Maybe allowing the eyes to close or finding a soft gaze,
And then just drawing one hand to your heart,
Let it rest there.
Take a few breaths.
They don't have to be big,
But maybe you need your own reset breaths.
Notice your chest expand and contract,
Lift and lower.
Sometimes in the workings of the day,
We accumulate a lot of stress,
A lot of worry,
A lot of anxiousness.
And I think we feel this in our heart the most.
Our heart becomes constricted and confined.
It may feel really heavy and tight,
But I want you to try this.
I want you to imagine just for a moment what it would feel like to not worry at all.
Imagine that.
And to not worry about your body or your bills,
To not worry about your loved ones,
To not worry about dinner or your job.
And notice that not worrying doesn't mean not caring,
But we're just taking a pause here to notice what that would feel like in the body,
In your heart.
If you were to allow yourself just for a single moment here today,
To not embody that anxiousness that comes with worry.
Imagine for a moment what it would feel like to completely,
Completely trust the process,
To completely trust the movings and workings of the world,
Let your breath and your body and your heart respond to that thought.
Worrying less and trusting more.
What does that feel like?
Breathe into that space for a few moments.
And although it might feel impossible to come away from worry,
To step into that place of complete trust,
If we can give this and grant this to ourselves just for a moment in the day.
There's so much,
So much that takes place in our heart.
Take a deep breath in with me,
And out.
And return to this pause,
Return to this place a million times if you need to today and for always,
From my heart directly to yours.
Namaste.
