Hello sweet beings.
This is a meditation to do before you go to sleep,
But after you close your eyes.
And so if you happen to be anywhere other than your bed,
Or where you plan to dream tonight,
I want you to take a few moments to get comfortable under covers.
That might mean changing up your position,
Adding or taking away a layer,
Or maybe even pausing this audio so you can really get settled in.
And then rest your body.
There's nothing to hold or hang on to.
Try for a position that requires the least amount of effort as possible.
And I want you to take a moment to remember your day.
As we get here,
To where we're going to slumber,
We can absolutely mull over all of the things that we didn't like.
We can replay the stories that brought us pain,
And irritation,
And anger.
The things that happened that didn't meet our expectations.
But we also have the opportunity to sink into a place of gratitude.
And that truly can be the most healing,
And the most helpful way to go to sleep.
So let's do that.
From the place and position that you're in,
I want you to give yourself one thing from today that you can be thankful for.
Just one,
And when you find it,
Let it resonate in the mind,
But let it reverberate in your heart.
You might even whisper the words,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Out loud or silently in your mind.
And then I want you to find a second thing that you can be grateful for from your day.
Gratitude number two.
Someone,
An experience,
A place,
A simple or sweet thing that you ate.
Find that gratitude as a vibration in your body.
Stay with it just a little longer,
That second thing.
And then that third and final place of gratitude in your day.
It might be something really big and monumental.
Maybe you changed jobs,
Or you had a baby.
Maybe it's something very small.
Sometimes those small things are monumental.
Bring it into your mind and your heart.
Something that you can appreciate from your day to day.
And then all I want you to do is take a big breath in and let it go.
And see if you can whisper,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
A few more times.
A kartoli reminds us that if the only prayer that you ever say is thank you,
It will be enough.
Sweet,
Sweet,
Sweet slumber to you.
From my heart to yours.
Namaste.
