Have you ever noticed that your body is breathing all by itself?
Like you don't have to think about it.
You don't have to remember to do it.
You don't have to control anything.
You're just breathing in and out every single moment of your life.
Even when you're asleep.
Even when you're unconscious.
Your body is still there breathing for you.
And with every inhale,
You're taking in new air,
New energy,
New life.
Your body absorbs what it needs.
And with every exhale,
You're letting go of what you don't need anymore.
It's this constant circle.
Taking in,
Letting go.
Receiving,
Giving.
Active,
Passive.
And honestly,
That's kind of how everything works.
We have night and day,
Sun and moon,
Dark and light.
Our whole existence is built on this duality.
But what we often do in life is we stay in the inhale.
We take in.
We do.
We give.
We push.
We stay active.
One thing after the other.
And the exhale,
That's the part we forget.
Because the exhale is where the body rests.
It's where the mind softens.
It's where we stop doing and just allow ourselves to be.
It's like floating down a river.
Not trying to steer.
Not trying to control the direction.
Just letting yourself be carried.
And so often,
We don't allow ourselves that.
We don't allow ourselves to fully sit down.
To really exhale.
To let the body rest.
To let the mind rest.
But if you think about it,
In order to live,
You need to inhale and exhale.
And in the same way,
If you want to truly thrive,
If you want to feel your best,
You need both too.
You need moments of action and you need moments of rest.
You need giving and you need receiving.
So maybe today,
You let yourself exhale a little more.
Not by doing anything special.
Just by allowing it.
Your body already knows how.
